This quilt was draped across the couch and I passed by Shelby 6 times before I realized she had crawled into the hiding space.
On Monday & Tuesday, the students at the college where I work were on Fall Break. So, while everything was quite in my office, I brought Cosmo in after lunch. We discussed some very important issues and got a lot accomplished.

Cosmo's getting surgery tomorrow, so send positive thoughts his way. We took him to the vet yesterday, and he has a tumor on his ear. He's getting it removed tomorrow (along with a part of his ear :/) and they're going to send it out for testing. It can be one of two types of tumor -- one is alright, one is bad news. I'm hoping for the best.

This is my puppy, Mabel. She's a Jack-a-bee (half Jack Russell, half beagle), although she really just looks like a Jack Russell. She's so sweet and cute. She's definitely a puppy though. So wild and full of energy, it's a challenge to calm her down. The best solution is the dog park. Mabel LOVES the dog park and all the dogs there love her. I don't know what it is about her, but she's little miss popular with every dog ever. Maybe it's cause she's a skank. She likes to roll on her back and spread her legs for all to see and smell. hahaha.
Anyways, I love her, she's my girl. I love her so much that I put her nasty disgusting rope toy in my mouth
This is what happens when you run around in the woods and get muddy. Let that be a lesson to you, Cosmo.
I took my Jackabee 'buddy' Gracie to the Broughton Nature and Wildlife Area outside of Marietta Ohio. We hiked a good way within the 500 acres that used to be my playground as a kid. I used to love to try to lose myself in these woods. Gracie was disappointed that we saw no squirrels or deer and all we found were woodpeckers, hawks and crows among the trees.
The number of Jack Russell Terrier mix breeds is growing all the time as purebreds are crossed in new combinations. Gracie was rescued and purchased through the Humane Society at Parkersburg WV. From the time I first saw her I suspected that she had some beagle in her and our vet confirmed it. Because of the Jack Russell/ Beagle combo, she is what is known as a Jackabee. She is quickly turning into 'my' dog although she is good with just about everyone (she barks at my mother, understandably). She is smart, good natured, extremely energetic, and loves to play and take walks.
She likes to stand on her hind legs and only barks when provoked or with my daughter's male Jack Russell, Ace. However, she screams like a banshee when she sees a squirrel!

I'll be honest: I had a really busy Thursday & a really busy Friday & by the end of the day, I was about to go to bed, and just before I put on my pajamas, I shouted "HEY! I DIDN'T TAKE A PICTURE TODAY!", so: boring shot of Cosmo, it is. Just out of frame, Jonathan is already in bed, cursing me for turning the light on to get my project 365 shot done.
