In the Toronto Sculpture Garden (a tiny park on King St, that shows one outdoor contemporary exhibit per month by local artists), the current exhibit titled "Upgrade" consists of a used economy sports car (a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire) "converted" with red vinyl skin & imitation leather upholstery into a 2007 Porsche, "an absurdist and economical means of obtaining a desirable and renowned object". The artist, it said, is attempting to address "longing" as a governing force in a consumption-oriented culture. The Sunfire sold, in 1998, for $3,990. A real Porsche sells for $169,500 !

This is the "Tapress" - the newspaper for Tappan Zee High School. It's spooky when you start seeing yourself in print. I'm in the sports section for christ's sake. outrageous.

but really, that picture is something else. the perspective and line and focus are twisted. The resolution was way less than I thought it would be in the paper. they spelled both Eli and Michael's names wrong. They got my shit right though. yeah!

this is fucking cool. I've been in this city since 1984 trying to fucking do something just like I'm doing now but I could never have imagined this shit at all. Digital is king now. I find it hard to believe it will be forever, but while it's here I'm there.

all you mac fans are going to hate me!

my 3 and ½ year old power book G4 devloped a single horizontal line across its screen, very annoying! it was a bit slow and on its way out, opening more than a few tabs in firefox would start to slow things down, even the twitter web page would really slow it down (i am lomokev on twitter by the way) and forget about the flickr organizer! even though it was 5 mouths outside of applecare, apple agreed to do an out of warranty repair for free witch in its self is good because it would of cost £500, now the good bit is that i got an e-mail saying unfortunately they can get the part so they offered me a brand new 15" macBook pro as a replacement for free! it comes with a year guaranty with the option of getting apple care again as if i had purchased it myself. nuts! i have i only had my new mac pro for about 30 days, i am in mac heaven right now!

Someday I want to have a high-end drone that shoots in 1080 high def for areal photography. My fear is that I would crash the darn thing. This one belongs to a friend. Pretty Cool!
