Normally our pea crops spread themselves out over a couple of weeks of steady, small yields. Just the right amount to include in a salad, or toss with pasta, or stir into fried rice. This year? All our peas ripened at the same time. So on Saturday we had "spaghetti and scape pesto" that was much more "peas tossed with a few noodles and a coating of pesto" and then tonight Boomer and I had our first-ever nosebags of homegrown peas. It's a good warmup for the coming corn season.

ETA: Sooo...yeah. I've broken a few things lately, because I am uberclumsy, so I'm not sure what it's from? Because I've swept and such, but haven't vacuumed yet, and I guess I just missed a piece. I stepped on it at some point, and didn't even notice until I put weight on my foot wrong and then maybe cried a little. But is all better now! Yay!
