First time she has seen snow but it didn't take her long to get accustomed to it.

Had to use my iPhone as it was too cold to bring out the camera. Bubbles frozen to the snow. It is -33C or -27.4F.

Smoke is dangerous! Only when you inhale it, which I did, and I was coughing for the longest time. Really, the gasping could be heard from outer space. Good thing I had some hot chocolate with me to take away the most disgusting taste in the back of my mouth.

Day - 106 Oh come on!!! Enough already with this winter weather. I will admit that I like cooler weather in general, but it would be nice if it wasn't snowing. Gah!

Beloved Brugge

Wishing all those in the US a Happy Thanksgiving and to the rest of the world, a Happy Thursday. ;)

These trees look different every time I see them. On this occasion they definitely remind me of ice skaters. Of course the fact that the big freeze continues might be influencing my preception:-)

I have no idea what they are - must inspect the leaves in summer to try and identify them.

Day 34 So my Dad will probably be coming home or going to rehab tomorrow. He's doing much better and the doctors are happy with his current status. As for being able to walk around well enough, Physical Therapy will determine if he needs a rehab facility for a couple of days. During PT today however he needed oxygen after walking for a bit so that's a bit concerning. I know he won't want to go to a rehab facility at all so he will more than likely make a full recovery from home.

Of course my mother is now starting to get sick and my sister is currently sick.

Guess who will take over PT and home care in the days to come?

Howard is back from Hong Kong and heading to Calgary. He did admit that the dress code for Vancouver and Calgary might not be stylish - but it is warm!
