Great Egret on a piling

All feathers on Great Egrets are white. Their bills are yellowish-orange, and the legs black. Great Egrets wade in shallow water (both fresh and salt) to hunt fish, frogs, and other small aquatic animals. They typically stand still and watch for unsuspecting prey to pass by.

We went to the park hoping to see Purple Gallinules, but they were caring for their small babies. We were lucky to find Limpkin on the lake shore.

He was so close and hovering to scratch his head that I barely got a few frames that did not clip the wings. I wish I had a better image, but for now this should do.

This bedding was bought for Vasэka, but it seemed cramped to him, so now Yashka sleeps in it. But more often Yashka sleeps on the floor, he is hot!
