Even with ordinary people all about, places like Hamilton Pool evoke feelings like pretty much anything could happen here.. There's a hush created by the sheer scale of things - as if there is a fear of waking spirits.. or dragons..
Rocks and stalactites take on forms and faces in the shadows, and simple ferns becomes emerald festoons for stone dragons hanging from the overhang..
Water rains from the mouth like a pool gargoyle, forever flowing into the pool below. All that is missing is a naked woodland nymph, or a princess, bathing in the enchanted shower..
