Over 1,000 pharmacists from across Ireland met at an emergency information session in Dublin to discuss a crisis which has arisen following a move by the minister for Health to cut payments to pharmacists under the Community Drug Schemes by 34%. Over 1,100 community pharmacists have written to the HSE to say that they will stop dispensing drugs under the Community Drug Schemes from 1st of August following the introduction of the cuts by the Minister.
