One of our favorite places on the island of Kauai. Po'ipu Beach with the dramatic Spouting Horn lava tube blowhole of water, and the sunsets. A great combination of nature.
On our last evening on Kauai, we went back to Spouting Horn to take in the sunset and say good bye.
The sunset was spectacular.
We met other photographers who were mesmerized by the beauty before us. Friends for the moment, taking each other's photos as a token of caring. Nice.
I'll always want to go back to this spot. It's beauty is just a small part of the rest of the islands, but stands for so much in my mind.
Mahalo my friend, Kauai.

rainy Po'ipu beach park
No, it wasn't rainy the whole time we visited! I just used the opportunity to grab some nice shots of the beach with my SLR. The storm made for vibrant colors and a nice (rare) vacancy at the beach.
We spent most of our beach time here in the mornings when there was plenty of sunshine. Then spent the afternoons hiking and exploring the rest of the island.
When it did rain it usually only lasted a few minutes. (we stayed in Po'ipu, on the south "dry" part of the island. You could always see it coming because the clouds gathered from the inland mountains (mauka) and traveled seawards (makai.) I also heard it raining at night.
Many, more pics on the way!
