Sometimes I'm just in awe of what this iPhone can do in terms of taking photos - love this path - I've been walking along it most of my life & still love this view - cheers
Now that lilacs are in bloom
She has a bowl of lilacs in her room
And twists one in her fingers while she talks.
"Ah, my friend, you do not know, you do not know
What life is, you who hold it in your hands";
(slowly twisting the lilac stalks)
"You let it flow from you, you let it flow,
And youth is cruel, and has no remorse
And smiles at situations which it cannot see."
I smile, of course,
And go on drinking tea.

To honour my great-grandmother Emma, her daughter, my grandmother Myrle, and my youngest brother Michael.
5 May is their birthday.
Emma and Myrle were my foundation,
my true mothers when I was very young.
I am a lot like them.
We returned to the Lake District for a day a couple of weeks back after not visiting for a few years Winter decided to return on the same day. Snow on the tops and sleet at lower levels. Nice to catch up with family though, and whetted my appetite to return to the fells - whatever the weather (within reason).

Music is one of my comforts. This morning I was listening to the Beatle's "Let It Be". Since I'm starting chemo tomorrow. These lyrics really touched me:
I wake up to the sound of music
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom
Let it be, yeah
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, yeah, let it be
Oh, there will be an answer
Let it be
