The rain has just stopped and a transient rainbow appears in the sky over Meteora, Greece. The fields were flooded by the heavy rainfall and are covered with water; one can admire the reflections of the scenery in the surface. An expensive camera is not necessary to capture such ephemeral beauty, if you happen not to carry one with you! Your iPhone camera can be used just fine in case of such an evanescent moment.
METEORA is the name of the group comprising many impressive and lofty rock formations: The height of the sandstone megaliths ranges between 1,000-2,067Â ft (300-630Â m). The rock masses were formed 60 million years ago, are geologically unique and listed in UNESCO world heritage sites.

While walking around Lithia Park and taking in views of Autumn colors present in trees all around one Sunday afternoon. This view is looking up and to the north under a nearby canopy of leaves. My thinking in composing this image was to move about until I could include as much of the autumn, golden yellow colors from image end to end. I later worked with control points in DxO PhotoLab 5 and then made some adjustments to bring out the contrast, saturation and brightness I wanted for the final image.
You can see the original iPhone shot and another - b&w - version in the comments, but here I run the original through three more iPhone applications, adding the sunburst for a little more drama. HSS, everyone!

A CHRISTMAS GREETING is the topic for Sunday 21st December 2025
I love Thanksgiving, but I am always glad when all the cooking and the cleaning is over. Also this time I came out of it with just one minor burn, which is a success. And - yay - there are three more free days ahead!
Time for the fence now. I took this one as I was running to the grocery store and back for the third time on Wednesday - iPhone shot at the gas station near by. Not much of a fence, but I liked all the yellow. HFF!
