It striked me that in Blankenburg many utilitarian buildings and things like electricity boxes are painted with natural scenes etc. Here one of the many examples....
I was on a holiday in Blankenburg, Germany. There are many beautiful old houses there....

Taken with the new iPhone7 Plus in portrait mode. The depth effect is a hit and a miss at times but for a camera on a phone/in your pocket it is pretty amazing.

So, no...this is about as far from "straight out of the camera" as you can get without getting Photoshop involved. But I'm determined to treat the iPhone 7 Plus like a "real camera" and this is exactly what I would have done with the same shot from my Olympus OM-D E-M1.
Cameras make snapshots. Photographers make photos…in a darkroom, long after snapping the shutter.
Because some people asked me about the miniature keyboards in the last post. You can see them better from this angle. 😉 They are just shelf decoration, belong to my father (he is a musician) but so detailed and in scale for Serena! 💙
Looks like Disneyland on the outside, with the exception of card tables, arcades, and slot machines, with plenty of bars, restaurants, and cool entertainment, it’s anything but! I’ve seen many movies about “Sin City”, and most of them were accurate as far as the venues go. I remember when my dad visited Vegas in the 90s, and told me stories about it. Sadly, a huge majority of the venues that were in operation up until then are no longer there. It’s TOTALLY different there today! It’s like politics, same games, different people. Or in this case, different establishments.
And what’s shocking is that I’d consider moving there! I’ve been wanting to live out west since the 90s, and I’ve seen so much this past year and some change. My mind is ALREADY made up as far as living West is concerned.
