I jumped on the #malebjdinskirt bandwagon tagged by some friends on Instagram.

An old chandelier with a very textured wall for its backdrop made a stunning view.

The Robert F. Kennedy Bridge (RFK Bridge; formerly known and still commonly referred to as the Triborough Bridge) is a complex of bridges and elevated expressway viaducts[3] in New York City. The bridges link the boroughs of Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx. The viaducts cross Randalls and Wards Islands, previously two islands and now joined by a landfill.

The Hell Gate Bridge, originally the New York Connecting Railroad Bridge or the East River Arch Bridge, is a 1,017-foot (310 m) steel through arch railroad bridge in New York City. Originally built for four tracks, the bridge currently carries two tracks of Amtrak's Northeast Corridor and one freight track across the Hell Gate, a strait of the East River, between Astoria in Queens and Randalls and Wards Islands in Manhattan.

It striked me that in Blankenburg many utilitarian buildings and things like electricity boxes are painted with natural scenes etc. Here one of the many examples....
I was on a holiday in Blankenburg, Germany. There are many beautiful old houses there....

Shot with an iPhone 7 Plus, on a tripod. Edited in Adobe Lightroom, Aurora HDR 2017, and Noiseless CK.
So, no...this is about as far from "straight out of the camera" as you can get without getting Photoshop involved. But I'm determined to treat the iPhone 7 Plus like a "real camera" and this is exactly what I would have done with the same shot from my Olympus OM-D E-M1.
Cameras make snapshots. Photographers make photos…in a darkroom, long after snapping the shutter.
Taken with the new iPhone7 Plus in portrait mode. The depth effect is a hit and a miss at times but for a camera on a phone/in your pocket it is pretty amazing.

Because some people asked me about the miniature keyboards in the last post. You can see them better from this angle. 😉 They are just shelf decoration, belong to my father (he is a musician) but so detailed and in scale for Serena! 💙
