It striked me that in Blankenburg many utilitarian buildings and things like electricity boxes are painted with natural scenes etc. Here one of the many examples....

So, no...this is about as far from "straight out of the camera" as you can get without getting Photoshop involved. But I'm determined to treat the iPhone 7 Plus like a "real camera" and this is exactly what I would have done with the same shot from my Olympus OM-D E-M1.
Cameras make snapshots. Photographers make photos…in a darkroom, long after snapping the shutter.
Taken with the new iPhone7 Plus in portrait mode. The depth effect is a hit and a miss at times but for a camera on a phone/in your pocket it is pretty amazing.
