An egg ball ("Eierbal" in Dutch) is a popular snack in the northern and eastern part of the Netherlands. There, the egg ball is available at vending machines, snackbars and cafeterias.

An egg ball consists of a whole or half-hard boiled, peeled egg in ragout, plain or with curry. The ball is breaded and fried.

The first egg ball was mentioned on January 23 in 1951 in Groningen.

In Britain, there is a similar snack (Scotch egg), said to have been first produced in 1738.

No 301 is hot! Why? Because having realized that I had not taken my shot of the day yet, I decided to try the new portrait feature on the iPhone 7 plus, which blurs out the background. I think it's pretty cool, especially considering I was inside a restaurant with poor light.
