It's unusual to see brick built houses in rural Ireland most are concrete built & the walls are painted. This quaint cottage in Broadford village would be typical. It's adjacent to the building with the red bench outside in yesterday's photo HTT!
another one from the snow storm a couple of weeks ago ...
... thank you all so much for your visits, comments and faves!!
This 20 metre high viewing tower at Tralee Bay wetlands centre & nature reserve gives a superb panoramic view of the various lakes, reed beds & across to Blennerville Windmill, the Dingle peninsula & Atlantic ocean (an iPhone5 image, Flickr seems to have lost the data I think?) Happy Window Wednesday!
(225/366) This building is the offices of the Wexford People newspaper. I liked how the Fuchsia flowers are growing through the ornate railings HFF!
Apologies to my Flickr friends for my lack of comments (again) but I'm without much internet access for the next week or so. The engineer who finally installed our landline telephone yesterday somehow managed to drill through the wall at an angle & sever our Sky cable in the process. Sky can't fix it until Wednesday so consequently if we want to watch any TV it's via the laptop & an HDMI cable but this eats up my mobile WiFi data allowance :( I'm not a big TV watcher but I do enjoy the track & field events at the Olympics. Ah well these things are sent to try us, worse things happen at sea.
