Tabarka (Tunisia), 8 aprile 2019 – Corso di formazione rivolto ai volontari tunisini della protezione civile locale nell'ambito del progetto IPCAM 2-Increasing Preparedness Capacities Across the Mediterranean. IPCAM 2 ha l'obiettivo di migliorare le capacità nazionali di risposta alle catastrofi per assicurare una protezione efficace della popolazione in Tunisia, in particolare nei governatorati di Tunisi, Bizerte, Mahdia, Nabeul e Jendouba.

Il progetto, co-finanziato dalla Commissione europea DG ECHO, vede il Dipartimento della Protezione Civile come leader e come partner l’Ufficio Nazionale di Protezione Civile della Tunisia (ONPC), l’Agenzia Federale Tedesca per l’Assistenza Tecnica (THW) e l’Ufficio Federale Tedesco di Protezione Civile e Assistenza in caso di calamità (BBK).

A pretty spectacular cold front starts passing in the afternoon!

In the morning airplanes shoot through the scene like particles in a cloud chamber.

At noon Northerly winds quickly roll to Westerly, then the wind speeds up dramatically (at cloud level, there was no significant wind at surface level) and low clouds start to build up violently just before the sun sets and everything goes black.

At night you can see the full moon rising behind the clouds.

We'll see what happens tomorrow!
