My best bud got me the iPad mini for Christmas. It's the white 32GB WiFi model. And the red Smart Cover is a perfect match!
On Friday, March 16, 2012, my "New iPad" (a.k.a. iPad 3) arrived. These are some photos from the unboxing, including comparisons with the iPad 2.
These velvet-like red-orange flowers are a perennial favourite subject. Their form and the covering of short, stiff hairs are always a delight.
And I'm amazed that these red Kangaroo Paw plants continue to flower well into autumn.
(There are numerous cultivars, and I shall not dare to guess which one this is !)

Phone 5 - Photograph taken with the camera on an iPhone 5.
Camera - The native Camera app was used without the HDR option.
Handy Photo - A concrete path was visible in the background in the upper left corner. Used the retouching tool to replace this with cloned garden material.
Filterstorm - Used the Clone tool to adjust the appearance of the cloned region.
Laminar - Image cropped to square format and resized to 2448 x 2448 pixels.
Snapseed - Structure and Ambience filters applied. Overall lighting adjustments carried out.
Photoshop Express - Noise reduction and Sharpening filters applied with manual settings.
ExifEditor - EXIF data from the original photograph transferred to the final image.

Was taken with a Nikon D5100 edited on Apple iPad3. Info at top wrong. Striped then Apple inserted when I edited on my iPad3, so NO CREDIT GIVEN TO NIKON D5100.
