The colors of this necklace reminds me of the soothing waters of Magen's Bay in St. Thomas, Virgins Island.
My husband and I vacationed there when I was pregnant with our first daughter! AHHH the life we had there! It was so relaxing and serene that that calmness still carries with me (especially since my life is chaotic with 3 crazy girls!)
This is a new variation ot my Eliza necklace. This one has Neon blue apatite rondelles, Peruvian Chalcedony, and Mystic Blue Quartz. I especially love the assymetrical vermeil charm on the side.
My over ambitious mind went into overdrive this week! I came up with 2 ideas for the SPRING theme. This one is called Confetti! It features a Large Pink Amethyst Briolette, a sterling silver circle charm that I handmade and handstamped (with a tiny Lemon Topaz oval briolette), and a wirewrapped circle of gemstones (pink amethyst, scallopite, pink tourmaline, iolite with a single large london blue topaz rondelle).

These earrings were created for the Wire Artisan's Guild weekly theme challenge of "Magic" chosen by Emerald Dolphin Design.
They were inspired by the movie "The Dark Crystal" which was a very mystical and magical Jim Henson movie.
The focal gem is a gorgeous AA Iolite faceted "kite" in a deep dark indigo colour, and there are also iolite rondelles. All metal is sterling silver and has been oxidised and polished.
Calling all pendant lovers-----oooh, ooh, me!!! Pendants are great because they're casual, interchangeable, and always the center of attention. This time, the woven leaf pendant is made in the soothing stone of iolite, or "water sapphire".
The structure of the pendant is made entirely out of sterling silver wire, and then embellished with faceted iolite rondelles and sterling silver round beads. The woven portion was made with fine gauge wire for a more intricate look.
The sterling silver snake chain is NOT included, but you can purchase one separately in my shop. You will love these. I have them available in oxidized and bright silver.
The pendant has been oxidized and then hand buffed and machine polished to a nice shine. Oxidizing is a way to showcase the intricacies of the wire-work that can't be seen easily when left bright and shiny.
All metals used are sterling silver.
Pendant dimensions: 1 1/16 inches long, from the top of the bail, and 1 inch wide.
Caught in a tangled web..an uptown girl shares with her uptown friends....."he's a diamond in the rough".....you can hear a pin drop and then the giggling begins....tell us more, tell us more.....this gorgeous looking polished gem of a briolette is nothing more than a ruby tone quartz crystal BUT caught in the company of more poised and cultured gems like real rubies, iolites, tanzanites, amethysts,moonstones and prehnites, this handsome centerpiece can pass off as a ruby replica irrespective of any careless whispers that might be making its way thru' the uptown grapevine. All wirework, pins and chain are sterling silver. Ends with a sterling silver lobster clasp and measures approx 15" whilst the centerpiece drops at approx 1.5" Affordable luxury!

These are so fun you can do anything with them. Hang them in the window like a sun-catcher, put them on a hat, coat, purse, magnet, pin, frame, mirror, backpack or anything you like. You can use them in scrap-booking or making a special card. Use your imagination & go wild. They are on wire so they are posable and you can have the tail straight or bent it is up to you, since it is bendable you can change your mind. I can make these in other color combos just convo me if you have a request, special order or need more qty.
These are made with wire, glass seed beads & glass tube beads & a lot of love. My Dragonflies measure approx.
2 1/2" long & approx 2" wing span.

There were moments during the making of this cuff when I was close to tossing it aside and abandoning the piece for good ... especially whilst soldering the middle locket section. I would do things differently next time but I'm glad I persevered and finished it, I'm kind of happy with the end result :).
I didn't like the way the other pic made the pink kunzite look plain, so I allowed them to rearrange themselves, put them in some natural light, and tried again.
The stones, in approximate clockwise order starting from the back left: amethyst, topaz, iolite, kunzite, golden beryl, peridot, garnet.

The ring on the left was the last one I did in this series of rings. It is 10 layers and I was just starting to play with not strictly just alternating the layers-- so you can see that the middle consists of two pieces of titanium. I like the contrast between the two metals, one dark and one light, and the faceted garnet.
The ring on the right consists of 13 layers and is relieved on the sides for a comfortable fit. The stone on that one is a rectangular iolite cabochon.

Ming Mariposa Hairpin

This is my belated entry for the Etsy Wire Artisans Guild January theme of "Ming Dynasty". I chose to make a hairpin, which was a common ornament during the Ming Dynasty in China. During this period, hairpins featured multiple styles, featuring a diverse number of designs at the tip of the hairpins. The most popular forms included flowers, birds, fish, insects and beasts, as well as flowers such as: plum blossoms, lotus flowers, chrysanthemums, peach blossoms, peonies and lotuses. These hairpins were also known as a buyao, which literally means "shake as you go". The elaborate "buyao" hairpin was an exquisite hair ornament denoting noble status, which was often be encrusted with jewels and featuring carved designs.
Titanium is a great material. It cannot be soldered, so all the connections are cold-- riveting is the main one that I used. These rings were created layer by layer starting with the center and working my way out. Design elements were soldered into place as I went-- always to the silver. I used various styles of rivets. The smallest ones are 18k gold pins, but I also used tube rivets, and in the case of the garnet ring, the sterling lining on the shank is flared out on both sides to also act as a rivet.
I cut and drilled the sterling and titanium sheet on a cnc milling machine.
