I know I've been tagged so add yourself to this if you feel like it!

1. if you could meet one person, dead or alive, who would it be and why?

Steve McQueen. "King of Cool." Self explanatory. And, I certainly wouldn't mind meeting his grandson, also named Steve McQueen. He's pretty dreamy. :D

2. if money were no object, what would you like to do?

i would visit all my favorite flickr contacts and pay them a few g's to take a few days off of work and we could go shooting together. i'd love to study and collect antiquities. i'd buy land all over the world, but before I did any of that... I'd buy my husband a Ferrari F430, because he could care less about material things, but he does like his cars. Then I'd want to see my doggies run along white sands, chasing (or running away) from the calm waves of the Caribbean.

3. if you knew then, what you know now.........

i would have invested in Yahoo.

Strobist: 580EX II Camera high right with sun coming in from the right also

I'm loving my new point 'n shoot. The fact that it can stitch a pretty nice panorama right in camera is an awesome feature. I shot this one with an old Nikon series-e 50mm f/1.8 lens which I bought a couple of years ago for $30 - the nikon-to-nex adapter actually cost a few bucks more than the lens!

This image really gives a good representation of how incredibly steep the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada mountains are. From where I was standing to the top of Mt. Whitney is a difference of more than 9,000 feet in elevation.

The 50 put in work getting this chain of shots. I spotted her struggling to light her cancer stick when I laid back and waited for the wind to slow then I moved in with the fifty.. My 4 fps struggled but I was victorious.

Shot this during a recent trip to the dog beach at Montrose. I popped the lifeguard as she was in the process of kicking everyone out of the water due to bacteria. Her mirror tinted 80's shades helped me achieve what I consider a 3 in 1 shot. I got a portrait, Self portrait and Jezebel playing in the background. A close up crop of my self portrait below. I can't believe how clear it is. I love you fiddy mm lens!

Shot her coming out of The Alley(clothing store) on Clark and Belmont. I had the camera set to shoot Mono and I knew it would be wrong of me to not capture that hair in color. That hair just was callin me. She had a Nikon D3000 hanging from her neck. When I shot her she was shy or not too happy..haha. I showed her the shot and she said she liked it.

Shot in mono..

I was walking past Blue Havana Cigar shop on Belmont and Clark when I spotted her sitting in the window smoking what could of been the biggest cigar I had ever seen. Her big eyes then caught my attention. It was a shot I couldn't miss. A cigar, piercing's and those eyes.. Enough said! So I crept up in the shop, Click! Clack! I immediately showed her the shots and she said she never looked so good in pictures. I said "Hard to believe" and kept on hunting.

Shot him one handed cause I had a ice cold beverage in the other hand. haha

I spotted this cool cat walking down Belmont in front of Clarkes Restraunt. I walked past him and then turned and said "YO" and he turned his neck back and I yelled BANG! He then played along and said "I've been shot". He couldn't of been more right. He was indeed just that, SHOT UP by my fiddy mm assassinator!... lol

Shot at the Lincoln Square German Maifest. I spotted Spiderman across a sea of people. I wasn't at the fest to pop people but I just received my new lens in the mail 2 hours before the fest and I just couldn't resist. Thanks Viewminder for turning me into a street photog crackhead.

This is a bloom off our clematis, but I think clematis sounds like a sexually-transmitted disease. Something you might get from a one-armed hooker in an abandoned train-car. The kind of thing that needs a serious battery of shots and maybe some napalm to get rid of. Could be that you have to hook up your pink parts to a car battery or something to get rid of that bad case o' the ol' clematis.

I can see it now: blurry filmstrips in health class warning of the dangers.

Anyway.

This clematis, as well as all our others, were bought for $1 and were mostly dead. We planted them, and they got mostly deader. And then, about three weeks ago, they leapt to life. One even had a bloom, which is pictured here.

Don't look too long at it, or you need medical treatment.

I walked up on her and said "Say Cheese" and she did just that. Look at that beautiful smile. You can tell she is a happy person. That smile has been cracked a million times. It is just too perfect. I also loved the fact that she had no make up on. Natural beauty. I only needed to pop her once. This was my one and only shot of her. I feel that's all I needed. I also felt she deserved color and not mono.

Shot in Vivid.. haha

I spotted her walking with this great smile and awesome self portrait shades.. haha.

I walked ahead of her and we were stopped waiting for the light to turn green when I just turned and POOF!!!!

You don't see dimples like this everyday.

She immediately wanted to peep the shot. I showed her the shot and the whole time that smile never folded. A permanent smile perhaps?

Another happy street shot customer.

I shot this COLORFUL woman at the Evanston Arts Festival. What a great festival. She was a vendor at the fest. She was there along side her grand daughter. I told her she was a cool looking grandma. Her grand daughter then replied "My Grandma is cooler than yours"'. lol. It's obvious that there was no way I could of shot her in Monochrome.

I am not at all happy with this shot and how blurry and overexposed it is.....

BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I HAVE to share my encounter with him and his girlfriend.

I was walking along poppin people in the face when I spotted this drunk guy trying to catch a cab. Once I popped him he was PISSED!!!

This is where the "OMG did you just say that moment happened.

His girlfriend comes over and tells him she is need of some "Lovin". Not her exact words but this is a family website. He then said he had something he wanted to do to further his intoxication and have a better time.

She then said NO because him being more intoxicated would not allow him to pleasure her.

He then replied slurring his words... "I have a tongue"....lmao!!!!!!

I shot him while in Chinatown for the festival there. This guy was poppin people and I was poppin him. Dominos!!!! After I popped him he asked "Did you get your shot"? I said "I sure did..".

I showed him the shot and he had no idea I was poppin him. hahaha. He though I was poppin something else.

Thanks man for showing me the ropes and helping me overcome my fears of jamming my 35mm in peoples faces.

Because that is what I do.

I told her what I do then gave her a card. She then felt better about her experience. haha...I told her sorry if I alarmed her. She said no problem and complimented me on how great she looked on the camera.

Thank you!

I popped this couple while they were feeding those bullshit overpriced parking meter boxes. If you live in Chicago you will understand why it makes me angry.

Anyway, While she was paying I walked up to her and asked what time it was.

Then as she looked up..... POP!!!!

I know your wondering what the guy below found so hilarious... He thought me poppin his girlfriend was amusing....

I then turned to him and let the shutter loose.

If you look in her glasses you can see the whole chain of events unfold. I pop her and then I spin like I was in the movie Black Swan.. Swoosh, Then pop him. Im in one lens and her bf is in the other lens.

The first thing I got to test my new 300mm on was an undercard race for the Fair Grounds Oaks. Not a bad way to initiate the new kid...

Unfortunately, I didn't get the name of this horse, so I shall dub it "In Yo Face."

These guys lost a bet from I was told. Most likely some fraternity stuff.

Popped this cool cat guy walking down Michigan Ave. There were 20+ people at the cross walk and I said cool shades and pop went the shutter.. This was my only shot of this guy. He was confused as I popped him but once he approved of the shot I kept on steppin.

This guy was walking around with his buddies. All in dresses and messy make-up. I was told they lost a bet. lol. His cross dressing friends pressured these two to make out.. It worked and I was there. I had to push and shove a few drunk bodies to get this one.
