"The Höfe am Brühl were built between 2010 and 2012 on the grounds of the former Konsument-Warenhaus at Brühl, which was demolished before construction began. The building complex's architectural concept echoes the history of well-known buildings. The former Lattermanns Hof, the Drey-Schwanen-Hof and the Plauensche Hof can be found in the newly built department store.

The 130 shops spread across a total area of 45,000 m² invite you to do some shopping and browsing. The Höfe am Brühl, with its characteristic and modern aluminium façade, is also a visual highlight in Leipzig's city centre. It unites tradition and modernity. The façade of the "Blechbüchse" ("tin can") was preserved as a Leipzig landmark at the head of the courtyards, as was a 15-metre-long remnant of the sandstone façade from the Wilhelminian era."

"El Paisatge del Futur", Girona, España.

“Girona, Temps de Flors” arranca hoy la 70 edición con 146 proyectos repartidos en 114 espacios que se pueden visitar hasta el 18 de mayo. El Ayuntamiento de Girona ha dado el pistoletazo de salida a la muestra floral esta mañana con un recorrido por algunos de los espacios de la muestra, así como la visita a la exposición "Maestros del arte catalán del siglo XX. Colección Bassat" del Museo de Arte de Girona.

Uno de los espacios que se ha visitado es el patio del Ayuntamiento, donde existe un proyecto conmemorativo de los 40 años de hermanamiento con la ciudad de Albi.

" Esta edición de Tiempo de Flores quiere ser más inclusiva y accesible, pensada especialmente para los gerundenses y las gerundenses. Se han hecho mejoras para personas con movilidad reducida y se ha creado un Espacio Calma para personas neurodivergentes. También se han ampliado los horarios para favorecer una visita más tranquila y adaptada a los ritmos. invitar a todo el mundo a disfrutar de la muestra ”, ha destacado el alcalde Lluc Salellas i Vilar.

“Girona, Temps de Flors” kicks off its 70th edition today with 146 projects spread across 114 spaces that can be visited until May 18. Girona City Council kicked off the floral exhibition this morning with a tour of some of the spaces in the exhibition, as well as a visit to the exhibition “Masters of 20th-century Catalan art. Bassat Collection” at the Girona Art Museum.

One of the spaces visited is the City Council courtyard, where there is a commemorative project for the 40 years of twinning with the city of Albi.

“ This edition of Temps de Flors aims to be more inclusive and accessible, especially designed for Girona residents. Improvements have been made for people with reduced mobility and a Calma Space has been created for neurodivergent people. Opening hours have also been extended to encourage a more peaceful visit adapted to local rhythms. Finally, I would like to thank the public for their involvement and invite everyone to enjoy the exhibition ”, highlighted Mayor Lluc Salellas i Vilar.

I was invited to participate to the 2015 Athens Photo Walk and it was a great honour.

The Sword-billed Hummingbird is a charismatic species from Andean South America. It is found from Venezuela and Colombia in the north to Bolivia in the south. The species belongs to a monotypic genus, Ensifera, and is quite different from all other hummingbirds; metallic green and bronzed overall, with a black bill that is slightly upcurved and longer than the body length. This is the only bird species with a bill length that exceeds the body length. When seen perched, the species usually holds its bill quite upright, presumably because of balance issues stemming from this long and relatively heavy structure. Picture taken at Zuro Loma, Ecuador.

Lophornis chalybeus - female - at Sítio Trilha dos Tucanos.

Tiny and visually striking hummingbird. Its mostly dark green upper parts are bisected by a pale rump band. Note the gray belly and rufous tail. Males are dazzling with a ruff of green feathers with pale tips on neck. Females are plainer with a dark face and pale throat. Usually found in humid forest, including second growth. Near threatened species.

The minions invite you to their Halloween party. A warmhearted gentleman of nobility has offered his castle's banquet hall for the beastly feast. It begins promptly at midnight and ends at first sign of dawn as he is a night person only.

He'll be your host, there to welcome you and oversee the proceedings. The table will be attended by his twin brother, Nosferat 2, and your hostess will be his...um...secretary, freshly recruited.

And, of course the minions will be there to service you with their always unreliable inefficiency.

The kitchen staff will work through the night to provide an unending supply of devilish delicious baddies goodies.

Our host insures you will enjoy every bite.

And so will he.

I stood by a fence to take this shot, using one of the posts as my tripod. It was a very remote area so there was little traffic, only 3 vehicles in the time it took to compose and capture the image.

When it comes to working on a scene, I prefer it when there are few distractions. It is not always obvious what initially drew my attention, but working a subject eventually reveals what was there all along.

In this case the rolling hills and that terrific red in the barn. The foreground bushes frame the structure and the space between them invites the eyes to move in closer.

Mercredi 9 février 2022 un ciel magnifique. C’est avec une belle avance de presque 50 minutes que le Sibelin St Germain Des Fossés en marche 75018 passe sous mon objectif à St Romain la Motte. Il est composé ce jour d’une UM de 75400 avec le 75446, de la 26135 Cv, derrière on retrouve des citernes pour la desserte de Commentry et de 2 couverts. Le train fonce vers son terminus qu’il attendra dans presque 45 minutes.
