Yes, there will be an exhibition of an excerpt of my work at Mary & Jackson´s wonderful gallery La Galerie d´angle. Your Uber to the Gallery Can you believe it? I still find it hard to realize....:-)
The opening will be on October 26th, 6-10pm along with a big Halloween Party at the Grand Theater close by, only a footwalk away....
Sadly I won´t be able to attend because I´m traveling, but I will be around as soon as I get back hoping to see a few of you.

Large, black, crow-sized bird with decurved bill and deep red eye. In flight, white in primaries very evident. Struts around in family groups on the ground in open woodland areas around southeastern and eastern Australia. A variety of calls includes a plaintive, descending whistle. (eBird)

Although totally unrelated to crows, these choughs are just as shy. Everytime we came across a group, they would take off, much like this one is doing. Big, noisy and beautiful, they were fun to watch.
The White-winged Chough is one of only two species in their family. The other is the Apostlebird which looks very different to this bird. They are not related to the Choughs of the northern hemisphere.

Another image from the pear tree crocus shoot, the second offering using the Flektogon vintage lens. This lens creates lovely bokeh, though I need to say that part of the effect here is due to processing using Nik Color Efex. The sharp bits are the lens though.
The view here is cropped to about 60% of the full-frame to get rid of some of the more distracting elements. Otherwise it’s a straightforward macro with a still camera… I’m just checking I can still do those, you understand ;)
