With eagle's eyes you can spot PA_217 easily. This invader was deleted in December 2014 but was re-activated in the beginning of the covid-19 crisis in March 2020 and I never got the opportunity to flash this one to obtain the 50 points this one is worth on the wall of Square de l'ÃŽle-de-France. It was very well flashable from the Quai de la Tournelle. As close as possible along the waterfront, Port de la Tournelle in fact.

Pont des Arts 10/08/2015 16h51

A great lin d'oeil (wink) to the work of Invader made by Jace on the Pont des Arts. No the bridge without love locks.

It became far too much for this historical bridge in Paris. The thousands of locks, les cadenas d'amours have been removed to save the bridge. A new railing is on its way and in the meantime we can enjoy the art of 4 big names in street art, El Seed, Jace (visitble here), Brusk and Pantonio.

Jace

The most beautiful summary in mosaic tiles of the year 2020. The year 2020 was a bad year for Invader. In Paris he has placed only 18 new space invaders. In total he placed 102 space invaders, most of which of course in Marseille. The third wave in this city includes 84 space invaders. Due to the lockdown, there have been no other waves.

In 2020 the number of FlashInvaders users grew by 35,692 to 153,672 and a total of nearly 2.5 million space invaders were flashed!

This one is located in the 11th arrondissement of Paris and was number 3960 in the world.

I guess this is one of the biggest space invaders in Paris. Very well visible from the métro line 6 between the stations Chevaleret and Quai de la Gare along the Boulevard Vincent Auriol. Almost 3 three stories high on one of the buildings of Hôpital La Pitié-Salpêtrière. This character is nobody else than House (when flashing this one with the app FlashInvaders it says "HOUSE IS IN DA HOUSE".

House (also called House, M.D.) is an American television medical drama that originally ran on the Fox network for eight seasons, from November 16, 2004 to May 21, 2012. The series' main character is Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie), a pain medication-dependent, unconventional, misanthropic medical genius who leads a team of diagnosticians at the fictional Princeton–Plainsboro Teaching Hospital (PPTH) in New Jersey. The series' premise originated with Paul Attanasio, while David Shore, who is credited as creator, was primarily responsible for the conception of the title character. The series' executive producers included Shore, Attanasio, Attanasio's business partner Katie Jacobs, and film director Bryan Singer. It was filmed largely in Century City. [ Wikipedia ]

PA_1205 was the 3329th space invader in the world.

A beautiful fairylike part of the Rue de Rivoli with the Temple Protestant de l'Oratoire. And for the one's with eagle's eyes: PA_860 and GZ'UP.

Rue de Rivoli

Rue de Rivoli is one of the most famous streets of Paris, a commercial street whose shops include the most fashionable names in the world. It bears the name of Napoleon's early victory against the Austrian army, at the battle of Rivoli, fought January 14 and 15, 1797. The rue de Rivoli marked a transitional compromise between an urbanism of prestige monuments and aristocratic squares, and the forms of modern town planning by official regulation.

The new street that Napoleon Bonaparte pierced through the heart of Paris took for one side the north wing of the Louvre, which Napoleon extended, and the Tuileries Gardens. For the first time ever, a handsome, regular, wide street would face the north wing of the old palace. Napoleon's original section of the street opened up eastward from the Place de la Concorde. Builders on the north side of the Place Louis XV, as it then was named, between rue de Mondovi and rue Saint-Florentin, had been constrained by letters patent in 1757 and 1758 to follow a single façade plan. The result was a pleasing uniformity, and Napoleon's planners extended a similar program, which has resulted in the famous arcaded facades that extend for almost a mile.

The first (two?) invasion wave(s) of the center of Clermont-Ferrand occured in the year 2000 and consisted 8 space invaders, 4 of them are still there (including 1 re-activation) and flashable.

In January 2016 Clermont-Ferrand was invaded again, the 3rd invasion wave took place:

"At the occasion of the screening of the very last version of the movie Art4Sspace at the Interntional Short Film Festival of Clermont-Ferrand, I have added 31 new creations to the city of the center of France. Among various themes, they refer to movies and cinema but also to what Clermont Ferrand is famous for : its gothic cathedrale, its volcanos, its Michelin factories and its Serge Gainsbourg street" (Invader)

MARS_75 [20 points]

The first space invader of the third wave of Invader in Marseille I encountered almost one year after invasion. Till August 2020 I found and flashed all 13 space invaders of wave 1 (MARS_01 - MARS_11 - 2004 and wave 2 (MARS_12 and MARS_13). But during wave 3 in August 2020 the number of space invaders went up to 97. In total 84 space invaders on my list again. This MARS_75 was the first, on the station where I arrived by Thalys from Amsterdam.

A classic sized re-activated space invader with mirroreyes on a very remarkable spot; the Monument à la République or Statue de la République. This statue is a monumental statuary ensemble, work of Leopold Morice. Inaugurated in 1883 on the Place de la Republique in Paris, France, it represents an allegory of the Republic. The original space invader is one of the 'oldies' from which I have never seen the original. Re-activated after an absence of about 12 years!

On the last day of 1998 the Fontaine du Palmier of 1808 was invaded by this camo space invader. The original disappeared around 2018 and number 143 was re-activated in January 2020.

MARS_90 [50 points]

One of the two space invaders outside Cité Radieuse in the quartier Sainte-Anne. Best seen from the roof of Hotel Le Corbusier where the exposition Invasion Planete Marseille took place. Invader was invited to do a site specific installation at MaMo, the arts center created by Ora-ïto atop of La Cité Radieuse in Marseille. For the occasion, I have turned the exhibition space into an strategic base and pushed back the symbolic and physical limits of the place by carrying out an exhibition-invasion at the scale of the entire city of Marseille.\
