Doc D'Errico, Vice President, Integration and Interoperability
With a dozen years at EMC and over 25 years in the information technology industry, Doc has become a respected expert and technical leader. He holds twelve storage technology related patents, has submitted nine others and is recognized for driving EMC and the industry to better and broader ways to deal with system interoperability and standardization. Doc is also the author of the Introduction to the Universal Command Guide and is a sought after speaker at many customer and Industry events.
Doc takes a strong leadership position in the development of EMC’s strategy and direction as it pertains to connectivity, interoperability and software & systems integration, enabling time-to-market while reducing support costs associated with product introduction in the field. Doc is also an Executive Sponsor to a number of EMC’s most strategic Customers, EMC's Six Sigma Corporate Quality Initiative, participates as a board member of EMC Global Centers-of-Excellence, and is a member of EMC’s CTO Council.
Under Doc's leadership, EMC developed the world's premier interoperability lab, eLab, which is responsible for the integration, connectivity and interoperability of EMC's products with products from major server, connectivity, and software. Doc is also instrumental in working on strategic planning with customers, channel resellers, equipment suppliers and even competitors. These vital business relationships significantly impact EMC's business success, and the "eLab Tested" logo is a badge of honor among EMC's connectivity partners and competitors.
Today, Doc is responsible for EMC’s Infrastructure Software Group which develops products that integrate directly into the IO stack, including EMC PowerPath, EMC Invista, and EMC RecoverPoint. These products enable access to information that is secure, simple, seamless, and non-disruptive. Providing ubiquitous access to information throughout its lifecycle, these products are crucial foundation enablers for EMC which further enable our customers to have more advanced access and control over their information
Doc attended Polytechnic Institute of New York where he studied electrical engineering, and Hamilton University where he studied Computer Science and holds a PhD in the latter. He joined EMC in 1995 and prior to that held technical and management positions with CCH Legal Information Services, Magna Software Corporation, and Manufacturers Hanover Trust, as well as various technical consulting positions in NYC.

Marines and Sailors with TF KM20, I MEF, are conducting engagements in the Republic of Palau from July through September of 2020. Koa Moana, meaning “ocean warrior,” is designed to strengthen and enhance relationships between the U.S. and partner nations/states in the Indo-Pacific region, improve interoperability with local security establishments, and serve as a Humanitarian Assistance Survey Team afloat in support of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command’s strategic and operational objectives. TF KM20 provides a unique opportunity to enhance relationships in the Republic of Palau. The Koa Moana task force has taken extensive measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The health and safety of U.S. service members and Palauan citizens participating in TF KM20 is an enduring priority. Prior to deploying, all exercise members participated in a three-week quarantine. After arriving in Palau, the Marines and Sailors remain quarantined for an additional 14 days. To date, all members deployed as part of TF KM20 tested negative for COVID-19.
