Thracian Sentry 2023 highlights the 30-year-long partnership between the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense and the Tennessee National Guard and commemorates many years of military cooperation. A Battle Group Poland U.K. soldier fires the .40mm grenade machine gun from a Jackal wheeled recon vehicle during a range conducted near the Bemowo Piskie Training Area during Saber Strike 17 June 8. Saber Strike 17 is a U.S. Army Europe-led multinational combined forces exercise conducted annually to enhance the NATO alliance throughout the Baltic region and Poland. CHITTAGONG, Bangladesh - Corpsmen use water to rinse out a small cut on a Bangladeshi contractor’s finger Sept. 12. The corpsmen are with Engineer Operations Company, Marine Wing Support Squadron 172, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force. The Marines are conducting an engineering civil action project, Bangladesh Interoperability Program '11, in coordination with the Government of Bangladesh and along with elements of the Bangladesh Armed Forces Division to expand the second story of a school. A U.S. Navy Sailor guides a U.S. Army UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter assigned to Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 147th Aviation Regiment, currently attached to 8-229th Assault Helicopter Battalion, in for a landing during deck landing qualifications aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Gonzalez (DDG 66), May 22, 2019 in the Arabian Gulf. The Gonzalez deployed to the U.S. Central Command area of operations to strengthen security and stability of the region. The deck landing qualifications were held to increase interoperability between U.S Army and Navy personnel.

Soldiers assigned to Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 111th Aviation Regiment, 77th Combat Aviation Brigade, conducted deck landings in the Arabian Gulf, Oct. 11-12. The UH-60 Blackhawk and AH-64 Apache crews took turns landing their aircraft aboard the USNS Alan Shepard to qualify their crews in this type of maneuver. Upon completion of the qualification each set of aircraft was refueled by the vessel and flown back to Camp Buehring, Kuwait. Training exercises like these play an important role in mission readiness and total force capability by increasing interoperability between branches, which is vital for joint collaboration missions.(U.S. Army photos by Sgt.
