Sadly - the operators decided to cease transmission from this studio, and indeed to cease tx at all! So it has now been sold off - and exists no more - ah well :) - I leave my original comments below - but clearly most of them now have no foundation.........

I built this studio (even the woodwork!) - and I programme music on the Internet 24/7/365 - a mix of oldish stuff which I like (Beats playing CDs!) and some recent stuff - No DJs - just back-to-back music with the sparodic jingle to help transitions..... (no Rap - and nothing to set your nerves on edge! - this is "ear candy" according to ME - god its good to be the programme boss!)

Tune in and let me have your comments - For PC you'll need Winamp - which you can get on the site. Mac users can listen using iTunes. All of this is done as part of TTV - a Luxembourg cable TV company - which I freelance for.

Best with Broadband - otherwise you could find the audio skips due to buffer problems - this is down to the fact that we send out a very high quality signal.

Once you have loaded the Sunshine Radio stream and it is playing via Winamp - you can continue to surf the net - Winamp will keep streaming the audio until you stop it.

I welcome proposals for the playlist - perhaps your choice will get aired - so make it a good one!

This is a screenshot of AOL Radio now with streaming Radio content from FM stations.

Chilling at home. This is comfortable and classy.

Thursday night @10pm UK www.transradiouk.com

For the second week in a row, 20,000 trans people and allies marched and protested. This time by the Seaside in the welcoming safe haven of Brighton where we march through the town and seafront, and capture interviews with many of the awesome trans folk who came along.

The Trans community remain angry at the bigoted agendas targeted at us.

So we protest – as that is what Pride is.

We also celebrate, everything that is so wonderful about being trans. As one sign read: I am so lucky to be born trans.

Complete with: William Crighton, Kaiser Chiefs, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, The Police, Sex Pistols, Labrinth Ft. Tinie Tempah, Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, Carter USM, The Dead South and Midnight Oil.

Tonight at 10pm UK time @ www.transradiouk.com and catchup www.mixcloud.com/shelley-jayne

Everywhere you look in the UK, or TERF island, things seems just dark for LGBT and trans people in particular. When the next PM candidates make trans and gender critical talking points key issues; The Newspapers froth at the mouth with their latest clickbait, transphobic bile; Much needed trans clinic reforms for kids are treated as if they are “proof” that they were “transing” the kids; Drag Queens being called “Groomers” and even the awesome victory of the Lionesses is co-opted to anti lgbt hate….well….Winter has not only come…it has well arrived….even if it is 30 degrees outside.

So this week is certainly dark…but it is always darker before the dawn….and things will get better…or else we organise a mass Jail Break out of the UK! Perhaps to Australia ;)……

Complete with: The Dead Kennedys, Muse, Slap of Reality, Alice Cooper, Taylor Swift, Metallica, Leonard Cohen, Thomas Dolby, Billy Joel and of course….AC DC

While I am diving into Flickr I like to have some music playing. One option is Internet radio - I use the 'Shortwave' app where i can find stations I had never even thought existed. You see listed some of my current faves.

Shortwave is an internet radio player that provides access to a station database with over 50,000 stations.

Features:

Create your own library where you can add your favorite stations

Easily search and discover new radio stations

Automatic recognition of tracks, with the possibility to save them individually

Responsive application layout, compatible for small and large screens

Play audio on supported network devices (e.g. Google Chromecasts)

Here's a heads up for those interested - Trans Radio UK is an internet radio station playing a wide selection of tunes, with several of my friends regular DJs on there.

Listen and check out the schedules via this link: www.transradiouk.co.uk/

Check out (and please like) their Facebook page www.facebook.com/groups/629156800851280/?ref=bookmarks

If you join the Facebook group, you can join in the chat and discussion - for example. on a Sunday evening between 7 and 10 you will often find me commenting under the post for Michelle Anne's show. You can also ask for requests and shoutouts - please do give it a look!

I had a radio show for 3 hrs. a week on PIBCO (the Poconos Internet Broadcasting Company from, if I remember April 2009 - July. I called it ART ATTACK RADIO. I interviewed local artists, and had local musicians play on the air. I ended the show before I got to use this painting for a web banner and paper flyers.

Well, I am very happy now - I just stumbled across the UNDOK app which allows me to control my internet radio from my phone. The previous app I used was withdrawn ages ago,and using the supplied remote control was a pain.

If you have an internet radio, or other 'connected' radios, this might be useful for you, too. You can get it for Android and Apple phones from the respective app stores. And it's free.

"The UNDOK app is a remote control application for Frontier Silicon Limited-based audio devices, such as Smart Radios and connected speakers. It allows users to control various functions of their audio devices, including turning them on/off, selecting audio sources, managing multi-room groups, and streaming music."

Of course, YMMV etc =]

Tarot @ Teatime 9 — Agency, Function & Context

Tune in to main.vcradio.org at noon or 4pm Pacific / 8pm or midnight UK time. This episode will repeat on Sunday.

In this episode, Willow and Honey discuss how agency, function, and context influence the interpretation of cards in a reading. A spread of three cards is read to address two different issues to demonstrate the importance of context.

It's Saturday!! I'm at the beauty shop. Floyd trimmed my hair. It had really grown a lot since before our Christmas trip to TN and NC.

I don't have an iPod, but I plug my earbuds into my Treo Smartphone and pull up pTunes. Then I select a radio station from Texas-- www.kjic.org . It plays songs that I like: Southern Gospel, including traditional, black, bluegrass, and contemporary . It's at 90.5 FM.

Next I pull up The Daily Reader on my phone and read the Bible while my hair is drying. Of course, I can't help but pull my little camera (Nikon Coolpix S7c) out of my purse, a Christmas gift from my husband, and take a few snaps around the beauty shop. And lastly, I had to pull up the Web on my phone and check my flickr account for comments. HeeHee Can't live without my "flickr friends."

It’s a Sunday afternoon tradition amongst a number of my far-flung musical friends to commune at 4pm to listen to our mutual friend Mike Ritchie on Celtic Music Radio, based up in Glasgow. This Sunday it was Mike’s 350th show.

After an excellent dinner, it's time to sit down for Flickrzeit. And what to listen to tonight? This station plays some great, rhythmic music. Actually, I might have to get up and dance in a moment.
