An internal window in the wonderful old cabin at our last house in Kingston.

"You did the right thing

covered your scars

challenge your faith and close your eyes driving cars

for all that they knew, you were safe home

But you went trough hell whenever you were left alone

And you could see where I had been

from the pictures that they took

I tried to look positive of things

Face myself but didn't look"

There are several things to say about my April's reflections. But, I just found something to say better than I can do by myself. I hope you enjoy!

Há tanto o que ser dito sobre minhas reflexões de abril. Mas, eu encontrei algo que possa dizer bem melhor do que eu poderia fazer com minhas próprias palavras. Espero que gostem.

Tenham um ótimo final de semana!

I wish you all an amazing weekend!

Obrigado!!!

Like No Place Else on Earth. Rising from the heart of the Tularosa Basin is one of the world's great natural wonders - the glistening white sands of New Mexico. Great wave-like dunes of gypsum sand have engulfed 275 square miles of desert, creating the world's largest gypsum dunefield.Apr 21, 2020

The largest gypsum dune field in the world is located at White Sands National Monument in south-central New Mexico. This region of glistening white dunes is in the northern end of the Chihuahuan Desert within an "internally drained valley" called the Tularosa Basin.

Having fun making spheres, which I haven't done for quite awhile and forgot how fun it is. Thanks to all for your comments, faves and invites!

The abandoned Power Station at South Fremantle. I only had a quick visit to this site. Heavy security to stop vandals. When you look online, the inside is filled with the most beautiful grafitti. The site has been up for development for many years. I hope any development preserves the facade and some of the internal features and street art. Time will tell. In the meantime enjoy the images i got from my limited visit. It is an impressive and spectacular building. I have a lot of love for this building.

Internal yard at the "Cultural House of Envigado" in Envigado Antioquia COLOMBIA.

I love palm fronds.

Unrelated aside.

This weekend is Super Bowl Sunday here in the US.

Go Broncs.

And we're set up for our annual toxic feast of pizza and chicken wings.

My sis in law isn't so interested, but I really enjoy watching it with my brother. He fills me in on all that I don't understand.

So I also love the always illuminating post game interviews with the players as to what they did/didn't do and why they won/lost.

This is the best...... ;-)

Happy Weekend to all.

Whittington Manor was built in 1310 and still has many original features. Nowadays it is a pub/restaurant.

Poor birds are trying to nest in one of two boxes, but that one damned House Sparrow keeps guarding both of them, not letting any bird other around. Immediate attack. I need to rid myself of that house sparrow . . . he chirps and chirps, but I don't think a female is interested. (I know these are my Tree Swallows from previous years, for I've been able to walk up closely and talk to them . . . and they talk back. So cool!)

I am having an internal conflict as to whether or not I want to trade my Outback in for a new one . . .

Thanks for Viewing.

Campiglia marittima, that is of the Maremma (in Latin Maritima), a medieval town considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, was already inhabited in the Etruscan and Roman times due to the wealth of minerals in the area. The first official document mentioning Campiglia dates back to 1004.

It is today considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.

I walked around MacKenzie Point and found an owner and this dog playing fetch. The dog went in once, the second time it stepped from ice chunk to ice chunks and then had to go in to return to shore.

The ground floor has five openings, where the central one, larger, is the main access. On the main floor the balconies have double windows, except in the towers where there is only one window, all of them topped by split curved pediments. The top floor maintains the same arrangement as the previous one in terms of openings, although with individual balconies. The façade is finished off with a balustrade, behind which you can see the dome that covers the internal staircase.

God, hear me!

They told me you didn't exist, and I trusted them like a jerk.

But last night, in the garnet hole, I saw your heaven.

Suddenly, I realized they were lying to me.

If I tried to take a good look

on the things you created,

I'd understand right away that those

they denied that the cat is cat.

It's strange that I had to

get to this hell,

so I can have time to see your face

I like you so much...

That's what I wanted you to know.

There's going to be a terrible battle coming up.

Who knows?

Maybe I'll come to your place tonight.

We weren't good friends,

And I'm asking, my God,

will you be waiting for me at the door?

Look, this is how I cry!

I'm the one who's here going to start whining!

If only I'd known you sooner...

let's go! We have to go now!

It's ridiculous:

When I met you,

I'm not afraid to die anymore.

goodbye!

Some fiddling about in lightroom to bring the reflection up to be brighter than the subject. Use a graduated filter increasing exposure to do this and finish off with a brightening/positive vignette

I'm just learning astrophotography stuff (that's my disclaimer) :) This lake is close to the city, so there's plenty of light pollution, as you can see from the clouds exiting on the left. I have other versions without the clouds but just thought they added some interest. This camera has had the internal IR filter removed to allow red light from emission nebula to come through to the sensor. If you look closely, you can see stars reflected in the lake. In person this was vivid and I wish I could have captured it. Beautiful night.
