I'm trying a different colour scheme this year :) The snow flakes are made of different envelopes (from the bank, promotional mail, etc.) The light blue and gray colours are from the pattern inside of these envelopes.

Cutaways are challenging works of art that merit the utmost attention to detail. Everything must be precise and true to form, whether it's the ship carvings or the miniature figures onboard.
Here, I'm working on the ornate wood pearls above the gallery windows. The exterior of this work took approximately six months to produce. The scale that I worked into this piece is 1:24 -similiar to the USS CONSTITUTION Gundeck Cutaway which was built several years prior.
It was during the winter of 2000 that I came up with the idea of producing an elaborate gun deck cutaway of the British ship HMS PRINCE. This unique carving was to portray crew members on all four decks performing daily duties in naval attire.
This was an ambitious project that was four years in the making. For several years the project had been placed 'on hold'. But after involving myself with the HALF MOON Project of 2009, I solemnly departed from completing this work.
It is my hope that I can someday return back to this endeavor and show the British people a magnificent work in wood relative to their maritime heritage.

Usually I print my photography line and then make a little bit of photo session with them, in order to bring beauty into my Etsy corner...
... then they go to an envelope where I keep all of them, until someone wishes from a print by {apft}.
Yesterday I thought about re-arranging the living-room (too much noise around such a small place) and gave my prints a new place to be!
