Why is it only AFTER I've taken the photo that I notice all the things I could have done better?! If I could be bothered I would sand the paintwork totally smooth....the flowers not at all realistic of course but too fond of playmobil to really care...
I simplified a design by Lalique (the original is in marble and silver and also has a wild boar hunt scene!), and threw in a bit of Eltham Palace influence too.

....goodmorning and have the nicest of days!....it's dark, grey, cold and rainy again here, which pushes me more to find the light and sunshine inside.
....working for my shop is such a case. The current stage is that of framing and styling the printed pictures, so that in a while some new items appear on the shelves.
...eventhough it's a home based and online based tiny business, it gives me all the pleasure of the world to deal with it and all the steps that it involves, enjoying every one of them, not hurring and just being tuned to myself while working.
I know I love my work and I'm doing the right thing when the following happens:
I can loose myself in my work & at the same time I can find myself in it.
And they both do :)
Have great productive days, wherever your work and jobs might be. It's worth to give the best of us, even when we are not in the most favorite of positions.....and I' ve been there, too...for quite a long time...as mentioned before....Patience is a virtue. Let's learn to adapt some.

Our chevron chicken dressed in grey abandoned its role as a door stopper for a while and jumped on the dining table to lay some eggs for this Easter. What a great job it did!

*as the tulips were freshly brought home today, they are still not in bloom. Their yellow color would have lightened up the picture, still for a semi cloudy late afternoon, the light in the winter garden is generous enough. The picture is almost SOOC :*)

this is where we really live -- it's adjacent to the kitchen but has no television, so it feels sort of 'away' .. . . like the rest of the house, it's a constantly evolving design experiment (even the kids are involved -) and a wonderful place to do homework, read, play board games, or just have a chat. it's also teddy's place space -- if you explore the photostream you'll see shots of the wall you can't see here, which has three of those ikea ps cabinets in red, for toy storage. fun.
