Sketching out the paper wireframe for a small project for our Web Design and Interaction class. I wanted to incorporate a slide out menu with a complex gallery and lightbox system, while also included some complex CSS3 tricks. The end product is to be used as a portfolio piece.

Garbage In Garbage Out
This is the main page from the website FCPEuro, a sales website for automotive parts for cars built by European auto makers like BMW, Mercedes, Volvo, Saab and VW.
The page is an example of minimizing Garbage In Garbage Out, and how a thoughtful and simple design can eliminate garbage and get users where they want to go faster without frustration.
Basic users can input their specific vehicle using pull down menus within the blue bar or, if they are a power user, they can input the specific part number to search the entire site. By using pull downs, the developers are positively constraining user choice, preventing data entry error and the necessary code back end to sort or filter inappropriate or unknown choices but also highlighting specifically what they carry. If the user was looking for a Japanese or Korean manufacturer part, but could only find European makers, it is a clear illustration they are on the wrong web page.

This gift guide displays all the images on one page for that all-important overview, and tells you how much it'll set you back in the mouseOver.
This is a paper prototype for our "GUI Gone Wild" project from our Interface Design class in action. We assembled our paper prototype out of one large sheet of paper representing the area of the screen users could navigate. The clear plastic sheet with the red frame represented the users viewing area. As a user interface that did not follow the normal rules of interface design. Users were very limited in their mobility on the site and could only navigate to sections of the site after completing certain tasks.
