Waag opened its first outpost on Friday 21 June 2019 at the Amsterdam Science Park: planet B, a place for artistic research and expeditions in which citizens, artists and scientists work together on an equal and ecological future. The festive opening was the launch of the first expedition within planet B, called AI Culture Lab, where artists get to work on the theme of artificial intelligence (AI).

Utah National Guard’s 300th Military Intelligence Brigade held its 34th annual Military Intelligence Language Conference on Feb. 11, 2023. As part of the conference more than 140 competitors from 25 different organizations participate in the Polyglot Games. The competition is conducted in seven different languages and follow every step of the intelligence cycle, from the operations order to a final commander's brief as they translate battlefield recordings and news reports, exploit documents to identify and destroy enemy equipment, and assess possible enemy courses of action.

Is our journey down the river of life meant to be an aimless drifting from one sensory stimulation to another, or does it have a more substantial purpose?
In yoga wisdom we find that human intelligence, like an able boatman, has the potential to guide us beyond the base urges we share with other species to an ultimate destination, a “Love Supreme.”
The beginning of that greatest journey is learning to discriminate between counterfeit pleasure and the real deal.
Bhagavad Gita explains,
“An intelligent person does not take part in the sources of misery, which are due to contact with the material senses. Because such pleasures have a beginning and an end, the wise person does not delight in them.”
Bhakti luminary Srila Prabhupada elaborates,
“Material sense pleasures are due to the contact of the material senses, which are all temporary because the body itself is temporary. A liberated soul is not interested in anything which is temporary. Knowing well the joys of transcendental pleasures, how can a liberated soul agree to enjoy false pleasure?”
Being empowered by intelligence trained in yoga science to recognize what presents itself as pleasure but always disappoints, we can sail on unimpeded to that coveted ultimate connection.
Srila Prabhupada goes on to explain,
“In the Padma Purāṇa it is said, ‘The mystics derive unlimited transcendental pleasures from the Absolute Truth, and therefore the Supreme Absolute Truth, the Personality of Godhead, is also known as Rāma.’”

Multiple Intelligences
The theory of multiple intelligences was developed in 1983 by Dr. Howard Gardner, professor of education at Harvard University. It suggests that the traditional notion of intelligence, based on I.Q. testing, is far too limited. Instead, Dr. Gardner proposes eight different intelligences to account for a broader range of human potential in children and adults. These intelligences are:
Linguistic intelligence ("word smart")
Logical-mathematical intelligence ("number/reasoning smart")
Spatial intelligence ("picture smart")
Bodily-Kinesthetic intelligence ("body smart")
Musical intelligence ("music smart")
Interpersonal intelligence ("people smart")
Intrapersonal intelligence ("self smart")
Naturalist intelligence ("nature smart")

Ahead of the publication of the Commission's White Paper on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Renew Europe is the first political group to present a comprehensive vision about the use of AI in Europe, considering the key political implications for the current legislative period. We believe that AI can make a huge contribution to help improving the lives of European citizens and fostering prosperity within the EU. We propose investment capacities, data infrastructure, research, and the definition of common ethical norms to be regulated on the European level. Our goal is to establish a framework, which enables the development of trustworthy, ethically responsible and technically robust AI.

So, given my limited success with the previous attempt, I cobbled together the image on the left and then uploaded it to the AI's image to image function. What seemed to work best was to limit its reliance on image to image (too high a reliance produced the cut and paste effect of the assistant's head) with fairly strong directives to follow my prompt.
The image on the right is starting to come close t a usable cover image photo. Neat, eh?

Intelligence can mean many things. Whether it is knowledge through education, experience, or existence it's a gauge to measure success. Knowledge is power and it doesn't matter how you come to receive it, but how you use said power to change the world.
