Crazy Tuesday.

Auger drill bit.

Today he's wearing clothes appropriate for jazz! Flames shoot out the top of the instrument as he plays (you can only see a glimpse in this image) but I was more interested in catching his audience.

Bought as one of a set of steak knives this sharp saw tooth knife is ideal for cutting fruit and vegetables.

I saw this interesting drum at Hohensalzburg Castle in Salzburg, Austria.

Gypsy Rebels are one of the more entertaining music groups in Toronto. Michael T. Butch is the driving force behind it and despite the personnel changes; the music is always vibrant and sometimes even seductive. If not performing at some festival, you can probably find them in front of 'Lola', a music friendly bar in Kensington Market. The Gypsy Rebels are these days Alfred Girtler, Bass, Steve Evan on Trumpet, Mark Mazur on percussion and Doug The Slug or Shelley Coopersmith on Violin. Taken during Kensington Jazz in front of Ozzy's.

at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. It looked a bit like a violin, but it has 6 strings, and is absolutely beautiful! AS you can tell, I don't know much about these things...and there was not enough time to find the appropriate information as we had to get to a Carol Service.....

“Music is probably the one real magic I have encountered in my life. There's not some trick involved with it. It's pure and it's real." -- Tom Petty

I had the privilege to attend a Tom Petty tribute concert over the weekend. There is nothing like participating in the joy of sharing a musical experience with strangers all singing along to favorite songs. It really did feel magical.

When we think of construction, what comes to mind. Heavy equipment, precision made pieces of lumber, metal framing, etc. But when we look and watch God's creatures at work, it is instinctive, simple and it works.
