Well known songs by your favourite bands have a different feel when played "unplugged" ie. solo or with acoustic instruments. In a similar vein colour photos, even photos that positively celebrate colour, take on a different feel when pared down to black & white. I'll often try it, discarding some whilst enjoying others. I had the privilege to attend a Tom Petty tribute concert over the weekend. There is nothing like participating in the joy of sharing a musical experience with strangers all singing along to favorite songs. It really did feel magical.
