"Snow always inspires such awe in me. Just consider one tiny snowflake alone, so delicate, so fragile, so ethereal. And yet, let a billion of them come together through the majestic force of nature, they can screw up a whole city."

13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

…and here are another 2 images taken during Inspire’s maiden flight over Lake Hume this past weekend.

As with the previous image my focus was on flying so I had dialed in my exposure settings before take off and then simply controlled the camera for the compositions.

I was at odds with an image that clearly shows my 4WD parked in the scene but as these are my first set of images I’m ok with having a little fun.

Happy Bench Monday!

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !!

Today is a blue day at Color my World Daily and this week it is also an orange day at the awesome Looking Close on Friday Group. And if you follow my « adventures » on Flicker, you may know that, last week I mixed up the dates and themes and I was sure orange was a theme for last Friday. I have no other excuses than the fact that this is sooooo « me ». Yes, I’m a very disorganized soul and I’m getting easily distracted. But dont you worry: I’m pretty much sure I have other assets, just ask my husband and you will see ;-)….

So lucky for me, i did several concepts for the blue vs orange theme and this way I can show you another picture for this theme. I hope it will be accepted, even if i took it last week. If it gets removed, dont worry, there is always another week and another theme. The Looking Close on Friday Group is awesome and the themes are always very inspiring :-).

So I see you later my friends !! Have a beautiful day and I hope you like my picture !!

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and healthy!! And see you soon on Flickr !!

“I like to listen. I have learned a great deal from listening carefully.

A different experience in every season: Oisterwijk's Forests & Fens are exquisite, tranquil and inspiring all year round. Different footpaths, cycle routes and horse trails will lead you – with or without the aid of a forest ranger – through the beauty of one of the Netherlands' most unique areas of nature. There are no less than 80 fens in this stunning green expanse – pretty impressive, right?

Four seasons

Whether it’s the frozen fairy-tale fens of the winter, the dynamics of nature coming to life in spring, the musical croaking of frogs in the summer, or the explosion of colours in the autumn: Oisterwijk's Forests & Fens are a feast for all the senses.

After all the stars took their shots, Bunny and I snuck on the carpet for ours! It was such a pleasure to be invited and share this moment with such amazing & talented company. Very inspiring and we look foreword to so much more of the SL Machinima "Lang"!! (plzplzplzplz plz k?!)

Parmi les 35 œuvres présentées, on trouve une figurine masculine en fonte dressée par Antony Gormley intitulée «Learning to be I» et «Into the Wind», une sculpture en bronze de la tête d’un cheval réalisée par Nic Fiddian-Green.

A new installation by British artist Linder Sterling in the garden of Chatsworth House draws on one of the most intriguing episodes in the estate’s 500-year-old history: the imprisonment of Mary, Queen of Scots.

Sterling’s “Bower of Bliss” is a response the Queen Mary’s Bower, a raised structure in the 105-acre garden which some believe was built in the 1570s as a space for Mary to exercise while she was held captive for her alleged involvement in plots assassinate her cousin Elizabeth I.

Mary was forced to abdicate in 1567 after she was implicated in her husband’s murder and was then imprisoned in England by Elizabeth I from 1568 and executed in 1587.

Sterling’s installation is one of the highlights of a new sculpture exhibition called “Chatsworth Outdoors: Grounds for Sculpture”, which opens in the garden of the Derbyshire estate on Sept. 14. 2018.

Among the 35 works on show is a standing male cast iron figure by Antony Gormley called “Learning to be I”, and “Into the Wind”, a bronze sculpture of a horse’s head by Nic Fiddian-Green.

Inspire Space Park has been around for over a decade. Beautiful region.

The dudes down the way made smoke with their tyres. The broouuummmm sounds filled the valley and then so did the haze as it filtered quickly upward caught in an updraft. This cloud reminded me of this as it slowly morphed from dolphin to burlesque skeleton.

Wastwater (or Wast Water) is situated in the Wasdale Valley on the western side of the Lake District. This dramatic lake is three miles long, half a mile wide and 260 feet deep. It is the deepest of all of England’s lakes as well as being perhaps the most awe-inspiring. It is surrounded by mountains including Red Pike, Kirk Fell, Great Gable and Scafell Pike, which at 3,209 feet above sea level is the highest in England.
