this is the title of my shot in the first comment ~ both birds stand on the rocks ...
Fynnie inspected an old shelf which I had taken outdoors because I intend to refinish it. I suppose he wanted to find out if it really makes sense to spend time and energy on that task. The shelf isn't really pretty anymore but I only use it outdoors to put flower pots on it.
A history of inspections on an old power pole in Alviso, California.
I guess I never really thought about it, but it does seem to make sense that even power poles need to be inspected once in a while. Maybe I'll start looking for them more often.

An inspection worker makes their daily rounds, examining the diverse cargo imported from the furthest reaches of the galaxy.

This old Ford has failed it's engine inspection and has been deemed worthy of inclusion in the truck Thursday group. HTT everyone!
On "Main Street" in Haldane,IL.
I've never really known what this building is for but it fascinated me as a kid principally because of the secrecy that surrounds it. Connected by a bridge that you cannot access I imagined it was the lair of a James Bond villain
A male kalij Pheasant (Lophura leucomelanos) was framed inspecting morning foraging opportunity with curious eyes on a fallen branch. It looks really gorgeous here with bright red head and a beautiful crest. Pics was taken from Sattal Forest in Uttarakhand, India.

At first I thought this guy was having a haircut but when I looked more closely I think he is having his ear examined. Not exactly what you expect to see on the street but that's Vietnam
The red-veined darter or nomad (Sympetrum fonscolombii) is a dragonfly of the genus Sympetrum.
Red dragonflies can be rare to view, and very special when the opportunity comes along.
