As much as I love nature’s textures, I usually refrain from too much touching because a few things aren't friendly to human skin… sometimes I forget that. There were a few sections of trail before Marion Mountain started right around the short, exposed PCT section, where there were now a *ton* of spiny caterpillars that were not there earlier in the morning. A savior complex struck and I tried to move a few off the trail to save their wee lives and spent the rest of the descent wondering if the stinging in my fingers was going to subside and if I needed to visit a hospital (ie. AM I DYING?). It hurt like hell but it did stop… eventually.
