Campyloneura virgula ist eine Wanzenart aus der Familie der Weichwanzen (Miridae). Da bisher kaum Männchen gefunden wurden, wird vermutet, dass sich die Art parthenogenetisch fortpflanzt. Das Artepitheton virgula (von lateinisch virgo „Jungfrau“) verweist darauf.

Wie alle Springspinnen kann auch Evarcha arcuata hervorragend sehen. Das ist für ihre Lebensweise auch erforderlich. Sie baut keine Fangnetze sondern streift aktiv durch die Krautschicht und lauert, immer nach Beute Ausschau haltend. Hat sie ein kleines Insekt entdeckt, pirscht sie sie sich langsam und vorsichtig bis auf etwa fünf bis einen Zentimeter heran und überwältigt es dann mit einem Sprung (= Name).
Die Schwarze Springspinne betreibt in gewisser Weise Brutpflege: die Weibchen bewachen bis zum Schlupf der Jungspinnen den Kokon

I watched as the sun was slowly obscured by the moon, casting a long shadow over the land. The light grew dimmer and dimmer, until the world was bathed in a twilight glow. The colors of the world shifted, taking on a bluish or orange tint. The shadows grew longer and sharper, and the contrast between light and dark became more pronounced.
I captured this moment, freezing it in time. The result is a photo that is both beautiful and haunting. It is a reminder of the power of nature, and of the fleeting beauty of the world around us."

Syrphus ribesii is a very common Holarctic species of hoverfly. Its larvae feed on aphids. In common with many other species of hoverfly, males have the eyes meeting on the top of the head, whilst females have their eyes widely separated.
