A Monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus) rests on a marigold flower, likely feeding on nectar. Monarchs are known for their striking orange and black wings and long migratory journeys. Marigolds provide a rich nectar source, attracting various pollinators including butterflies and bees.
Ariadne ariadne (Linnaeus, 1763) - Angled Castor
Ariadne ariadne has orange to reddish-brown forewings traversed by 5 or 6 narrow, winding black lines. There is a black disc line outside the ends cells of the two wings. The underside of the wings is pale dark brown, both wings have transverse dark brown patches and markings, the edges of the wings are serrated. The color of the female butterfly is paler than the male.
It showed up quietly, clinging to the wall like it had always been there. The warm brown patterns on its wings melted into the shadows, almost invisible unless you really looked. Nothing dramatic, nothing loud — just a small reminder that even the night has its gentle visitors.

Un minuscule prédateur, mais un regard qui impose le respect.
Cette petite araignée sauteuse venait tout juste de capturer sa proie lorsque nos regards se sont croisés. Pendant quelques instants, elle est restée immobile, me laissant admirer ses grands yeux curieux et les incroyables détails de son univers miniature.
La nature nous rappelle souvent que les plus belles scènes se cachent parfois à quelques centimètres de nous.
