macro mondays theme: to photograph subjects whose name begins with any of the vowel alphabets A , E, I, O, U.
i have chosen the letter "i".
For this picture I used an old, more or less acquired lens. It is a „Auto Beriflex 135 mm 1:2.8“ with M42 connector. "Beriflex" was a brand name of the Berlin company Beroflex AG. A system camera can be connected with a suitable adapter.

Coprinus comatus or the Shaggy Ink Cap in its early stage, so not yet turning inky black at the bottom of its cap.
It's not poisonous at this stage, I've read, but I didn't try it out, so don't take my word for it ... (please read further comments below).

Does anybody have any Blotting Paper for there is a Ink Blot on the Landscape...
Just took this little macro picture yesterday in my back garden. I thought it looked interesting the way it leaned over like this and the way the ink seems to be running from it and staining the grass. I never noticed this before with these mushrooms (probably never looked before...lol)
This photo reminds me of Ink stippling which was invented by Giulio Campagnola, an Italian engraver, around 1510 to achieve tonal variation in his engravings. By using multiple tiny dots instead of lines, he could create more nuanced gradations of light and shadow. This technique was later adopted in various forms of ink and paint art, eventually distinguishing itself from the similar painting technique of Pointillism, which uses paint instead of ink.
