Fábrica derruida en Málaga.
Representación de lo que fue el gran pasado industrial de la ciudad de Málaga.
Málaga encabezó en España '"la revolución siderúrgica industrial" en el siglo XIX.
En el siglo XX todas las grandes industrias siderúrgicas, textiles, químicas, etc. fueron desapareciendo hasta no quedar apenas nada de ese glorioso pasado.
Ahora todo se basa en el turismo, esperemos que dure mucho.

It is unbelievable, how careless the industry can be. They can easily destroy the most beautiful and pristine piece of coast for their explorations, and once the profits are gone, they just leave everything behind. This is an old coal mine terminal, that is left there.
When I'm out with the camera
I might meet someone who will tell me
there is nothing worth photographing in this direction.
Then it's exactly the right direction for me.

Though looking rather old, this water level regulator is still in use. It is part of the water purification system established around 1882 in order to produce drinking water for Basel, Switzerland.
