Diversification of household income sources though small livestock activities
An important part of the ‘Making a Living from Livestock’ project involves strengthening of livestock commodity associations such as LCDs and ISALS. Bambelelani Goat group has been a beneficiary of the project in this aspect. Established in 2014, the 17-member goat group has grown from humble beginnings to operating a successful enterprise through their lending and savings. Through the project they have been assisted with trainings in goat husbandry, veterinary services for their goats, as well as financial management skills that have proved crucial in helping them to sustain their successful business for the past 3 years.

Roughly around 325,000 homes across the US are broken into every year, usually in plain view. Altogether there are about 2.5 million burglaries reported and 66% of those are in homes. Most break-ins happen during the day when people are most likely to be out and about.
There are certain things you can do to protect your home in order not to become a statistic. We’ve rounded up 4 tips to protect your home, your family, and belongings better.
Keep valuables out of sight
It’s not difficult for anyone to just walk up and take a peek through one of your windows and see what you have lying around if you don’t have thick curtains or forgot to close them on your way out. While some items are not really meant to be moved around, like a TV screen, others are easier to move and keep out of view. Laptops, mobiles, all other small devices, purses, and wallets can all be put away when you’re out of the house. Even if your purse or wallet is actually empty and the mobile is old, a burglar wouldn’t know that, and it would just be too tempting in their eyes.
Wire up
It doesn’t matter if you live in a building, a house, or own a shop or any other business, you can use a security system to put your mind at ease. If moving into a new home or looking to sell your old one that’s a good time for when to get a wired security system. Having a wired system can increase the cost of your home when selling, and may also have custom made options that wireless security systems do not always offer.
Don’t provide hiding places
Your landscape, tall trees, and bushes are lovely to sit near and under. They provide nice shade on hot days but they also provide more opportunity for thieves and the likes to hide in. Keep shrubs and trees trimmed, at least trimmed enough that they do not block windows. Besides that, don’t leave items outside. Many people will leave a ladder outside after doing some roof repair, for example. This is inviting a would-be thief to the upper floors of a house where windows might be often unlocked.
Change locks when necessary
Anytime you or someone else loses a key to the house, change the lock. You can never be sure if the key was actually lost or if someone got their hands on it, giving them more than easy access to your home. If you rent out a home, it’s also recommended to change locks after a tenant leaves.
You can never be too safe
There really is no such thing as being too safe when it comes to protecting your home. Be an alert homeowner and find out more ways to protect your property. Always keep all doors, windows and the garage locked. You can ask someone you trust to keep a watchful eye if you have to leave home for an extended period. As we say, better to be safe than sorry.

Watch out for unknown signs of cancer! Increases at night
Dr. Sofio
Liver diseases can progress dangerously and have fatal consequences. Although it is known that the main causes of liver cancer are smoking and alcohol consumption, liver cancer can also be seen in people who have never used these substances. Studies reveal unknown symptoms of liver cancer.
A case report published in The Eurasian Journal of Medicine found that a 52-year-old woman who died of liver cancer had experienced itching and jaundice before the cancer was diagnosed.

Sitting with her back to the camera is Sylvia Borren*(COC Netherlands).
The much-increased involvement of women was a key feature of the Barcelona conference. Tim McCaskell’s account of this:
“Lesbians stake out their claim
The participation of 45 lesbians from 12 countries was the result of a year's hard work by four women: Truss van Bueren from the Netherlands, Sylvia Borren representing the Netherlands and New Zealand, Les Latner from the United Kingdom and Liz Hervard of Denmark. After last year's conference in Holland, the handful of women who had attended agreed that the IGA had to take lesbian issues as seriously as those affecting gay men. They began working to set up an information network among lesbian groups around the world and to encourage women to attend the IGA meeting in Spain.
The increased lesbian participation was reflected in an official name change for the IGA. Several delegates of both sexes argued for the name International Lesbian and Gay Association, in fact the name ILGA was already being used by some member groups. But in a move that was a surprise to many delegates, the women's workshop recommended that the name International Gay Association be retained with the addition of the subtitle (International Association of Gay Women and Men).
The plenary accepted the recommendation. "We're very happy with the name change,” said Mercè Fornells of GLAL. The gay movement was originally made up of a lesbian minority and a majority of homosexual men. This recent tendency to use gay to mean only men is a real loss for lesbians. We 're gay too." Many other women at the conference argued along similar lines. They felt the word lesbian in the official title would stress the difference between gay men and women while the title IGA, with a specific mention of gay women, would stress the unity of people of both sexes who are oppressed for their sexual orientation.
Women met separately throughout much of the conference to define their role within the IGA and to work out a perspective on issues such as child custody, relations with the feminist movement and gay men, problems of living together, violence against women, and pedophilia. While everyone recognized that such separate caucusing was necessary, several women expressed concern that important debates about the future of the IGA were being left completely to men.”
“Women still need a great deal of discussion about their needs, problems, and interests prior to their full participation in an equal way with gay men at the next annual conference," explained Truss van Bueren of the COC at the final press conference. To overcome this, women plan to meet separately in an International Gay Women's Conference to prepare for the next IGA meeting. Van Bueren announced that a Women 's Secretariat, based in Amsterdam, had been established to organize the conference and to strengthen the role of lesbians in the IGA.”

The huge growth in demand for folding sliding doors over the last two or three years has led to a rapid increase in the choice of door systems available for the consumer. Also referred to as bi fold doors, bi folding doors, multi fold doors and concertina doors they are best known as folding sliding doors because of the opening action itself.
This type of door can provide unobstructed openings of up to 6 meters and sometime more as the panels simply fold, slide and stack neatly to one side or both sides of the aperture. Stack and sliding doors are an ideal replacement for existing French or sliding doors where they can literally transform the existing opening and open up the room to the outside.
This type of bifolding door is now becoming the most sought after door style for new build and home extensions whilst also proving a popular upgrade choice for homeowners adding a conservatory to their property due to their ability to seamlessly merge the new conservatory with the garden effectively bringing the outside inside.
Although the original concept of a folding sliding door dates back over 100 years where they were often used for closing off small storage areas today's folding sliding doors are designed to be high performance energy efficient patio doors using the latest innovative insulation features in both door and glazing construction.
Folding sliding doors not only allow wider unobstructed apertures but the increased glass area allows huge flows of natural light to enter the home from the outside which during the colder months will provide efficient use of solar gain to minimize heating costs. Doors are available in a choice of materials including timber, aluminium and PVC-u together with a choice of colours and finishes that will enhance any home.
Aluminum folding sliding doors are normally manufactured from durable, strong thermally broken aluminium profiles that have specifically been designed for the purpose. These systems have been in use for several years in both domestic and commercial installations such as restaurants and hotels. Most systems utilize bottom rolling gear so all the weight is carried at the bottom with guide rollers at the top and panels are often connected to sliding and floating mullions which help ensure the door operates smoothly and effortlessly.

FHA is increasing the Annual Mortgage Insurance Premiums for forward mortgages by 25 basis points. There are some discrepancies in this mortgagee letter on the date in which the premiums are effective (i.e. 4/18 or 4/4/2011). We are working on getting the final date, however, please be advised that this change is on the horizon.

Obesity is a problem that should not be taken too lightly. It is now not about appearance, but also health risks we should be careful about.
