Next to San Jose is a small town called Alviso, located at the San Francisco Bay in California. I went to the Alviso Marina County Park for sunset. Piers cross the marshlands, which makes it easy to observe the fauna and flora.
I processed a balanced and a paintery HDR photo from three RAW exposures, blended them, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

A moc I made of the snow fortress/hospital from the movie Inception. This is one of my personal favorite creations I've built. Credit for the curved wall technique goes to Graham Gidman.

CHEF seguicollar wants us to glimpse what's on the other side of the exit ... or is it an entrance??

Thunderstorm outside Sierra Vista, Arizona. Trying out my new Nikon D90 and I think practice is over with it. Didn't think the storms would produce any decent shots tonight. Boy was I wrong.
Well, dreams, they feel real while we're in them right? Its only when we wake up then we realize that something was actually strange.
We went hiking along the Skyline to the Sea Trail in the hills of Saratoga, California. This trail goes all the way from Saratoga to the sea, a 2-3 day hike. We once hiked to the sea, my legs were totally dead on arrival. This time we only went a short distance for a few hours.
I processed a paintery and a photographic HDR photo from three RAW exposures, blended them selectively, carefully adjusted the color balance and curves, and desaturated the image. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

When we visited Paris last summer I planned some cityscapes. I knew I wanted to visit this bridge that was used in the fascinating movie Inception by the talented Christopher Nolan. A terrible heatwave with temperatures above 40 C spoiled all of my plans (I don't function so well with those temperatures, especially not in a concrete jungle). This is the only image I came home with. I opted for an early morning for a sunrise with some cooler temperatures, already over 30 C though. I had my bicycle with me in Paris, so it was a nice experience to cycle through the city before it came to life. I had google maps directions in one of my ears so I had no problem finding this bridge. I even passed an empty Arc de Triomphe on my bicycle :-) I'm afraid the city is as empty as that morning now, due to the crazy time we're in...
