Before I head out to the airport for my uneventful trip home (saying it makes it so, right?) I leave you with the survivors. These are what are left of the tulips after the hailstorm of last Friday. Cut down in the prime of their life, they soldier on in a glass in my bathroom.

Happy Gorgeous Green Thursday...shot from another day when school was cancelled...home today again but i should be working on lesson plans...i will try to do that and get back here later... I slept in today..seemed to really need that...staying up way too late on flickr! This was a little bitty stem from the previous set-up. My power was out that day and I had to sit by the patio door to get the natural light..

{film} Sterling Coffee Roasters on NW 21st.

{film} I bought a lovely sunflower bouquet at the farm stand yesterday in the hopes of making my living room brighter, but so far this morning, the flowers sit in the dark. I'm praying for a little bit of sunlight to hit this room at some point today.

I got two rolls back today, and sometimes, film talks. My second roll said "what did you think this was, the 70s? Why the hell did you use Ektar?" and the first roll said "keep your nose to the grindstone, lady, that Mamiya's not an open book". So now, here's what I'm going to do in the next few weeks: only use my pushed Ektar recipe indoors and figure out the C220.

Margaritas, for me are "JOY" in a glass. I shot this with the extra light source to the right of the camera, as I shot eye level with the glass.

I liked how the light glistened off the lime and gave a shadow in the back. I wish the color was a bit more vibrant, but I couldn't quite get it. Overall, I like the shot, and it sure did taste great!
