Personally, after studying both the mono and color - I finally decided on the color. Believe me, a difficult choice but the golden tones and warmer colors persuaded me.
For me, the mono provided an image of textures, light, contrasts and reflections. It has a cooler look and crisper textural detail, and I tend to favor mono when it there is a fit for it.

This is one of four young Cooper's Hawks that are "growing" up around our backyard. This is the smallest of the four posing on a power cable that runs along the rear of our backyard. This image was taken as the sun started to set in the West providing much better light than during the rest of the day. The hawks sometimes pair up tgether on a perch and then swoop down into neighbor's yards - I presume in search of a meal. Hope they hang around a while.

Sarah Island is Tasmania's oldest convict settlement and reputedly one of the severest penal establishments in the history of transportation to Australia. Flogging was frequently used as a punishment and more than 180 escape attempts were made.
Remotely located, the island sits in the southern part of Macquarie Harbour on Tasmania's west coast. Despite its isolation and grim function, Sarah Island was for a time the largest shipbuilding yard in the colonies. Convicts were also put to work in the thriving pining trade.
