He who hurries can not walk with dignity

~Chinese proverb

Relax & enjoy the day!

Just a play on words that I thought about after finding my tiny grater and my cup of wiggly eyes.

Have I ever told you how I love wiggly eyes? I need to go put two eyes on the front door now. You know, just for fun.

"Four Seasons - Summer"

Another one using my "rusty hull" texture......this is so fun! :)

A crew of us scrambled up the side of Mt St Helen's this weekend. It was great weather & not too hot. Call me lazy, but I only took my lady's point & shoot up there. My D200 stayed at home. This pic turned out better than I thought it would.

Hopefully everybody's staying cool & hydrated this week ... I love summer.

Day 15/30 ("30 days of June" Project)

My beautiful home-grown strawberries :) I love to pick up a small basket of them every day from my garden.

Day 16/30 ("30 days of June" Project)

One more photograph of something super yummy... I think watermelon is a MUST-HAVE summer fruit, don't you think? :) The smell, the taste, the color... and those summer days when you sit outside and the air smells like watermelons even though there is no watermelons around.

Dewey Beach, Delaware, USA

Dewey Beach lies on a small strip of land between the Atlantic Ocean and Rehoboth Bay, is about one mile long and two blocks wide. Despite its small size and low year-round population of about 300, it is not uncommon for 30,000 to descend upon the town during summer weekends. Numerous bars and restaurants line Coastal Highway (Delaware Route 1), the town's main street.

The town of Dewey Beach, Delaware is a frequent summer vacation destination for Washington, D.C., residents (121.78 miles / 2 hrs 46 mins from The White House)

Delaware it the second-smallest state in the United States after Rhode Island.

The town hosts the Dewey Beach Music Conference during the last weekend of September. This event began in 2002 and has been a huge draw for unsigned bands from all over the country.

In 2011, the NRDC Natural Resources Defense Council awarded Dewey Beach with a 5-Star rating in water quality.

It is believed that the name was given to Dewey Beach following the 1898 Battle of Manilla (Spanish–American War) when Admiral George Dewey became a national hero.

Restful Saturday evening...

Day 12/30 ("30 days of June" Project)

It's Tuesday and I have to say it was another great day for me :) The weather was & is really good all day! I started my day in garden reading my favorite crime book, drinking some mineral water, watching the rising sun & listening to singing birds. A little bit later I decided to do to something useful and work in my garden after about a year (It seems like it has been forever). Oh how much I love gardening, sad I forgot about it & realised only today while working... I have no words! Sometimes things that you think are very important are just an unnecessary things, the most important things are forgotten. Sad but true! :)
