At what point does a photo become an illustration or work of art? Photoshop recently launched its Sky Replacement tool, and this weekend I gave it a whirl. You can see the original image here:

The sky replacement was very, very simple. The water reflection took a lot of trial and effort; it's not yet part of the sky replacement built-in tool. The water area still needs about an hour more of attention to clean up some pixel peeping details.
It's an amazing transformation into a believable scene I dream of capturing - I am sure I could sell this as a work of art, and most people would never question the authenticity.

Sorry that the face is not spot on I used my old comic john stewart face becauae of a lack of brown heads.
The ring is completely made with gray stuff. I used a lego body and wrapped clay around the top long stud to make the ring part. I later cut and sanded the rough sculpt to make the ring look good.
Then I took a chunk of clay and stuck a stick through it and let it dry. Then I removed the stick and cut out the lantern shape aroumd the hole and glued the components together. Then I just painted it green.

Juego nº 5. Escritura en la piel.
Instrucciones de juego.
Jugadores: 2.
1_ El ambiente ha de ser cómodo y relajado. Ambos jugadores deben sentirse a gusto y proporcionarse intimidad y confianza. Uno de los miembros debe situarse de espaldas al otro, bien sea sentado o tumbado. Puede realizarse con ropa o con la espalda desnuda (esto último mejora la sensibilidad).
2_ El miembro que mira a la espalda de su pareja debe situarse a una distancia adecuada (ni demasiado lejos (no llega a la longitud del brazo) ni demasiado cerca (impide movilidad). Se comienza a trazar con un dedo sobre la piel de la espalda, cuidadosamente, sin presionar demasiado.
3_ La función del juego es transmitir mensajes invisibles sobre la piel de otra persona, y el papel de ésta es, mediante este intercambio de comunicación táctil, leer sobre su propio cuerpo el mensaje emitido. Se trata de un juego sencillo, pero que requiere cierta atención.
4_ Lo más aconsejable escribir letra por letra, en mayúsculas y a tamaño grande, de modo que ocupen gran parte de la superficie de la espalda, para una mejor comprensión del receptor. El emisor debe ser claro, conciso, no dudar e ir a la velocidad adecuada para que el mensaje pueda ser procesado y comprendido.
5_ Admite múltiples variantes de escritura y dibujo. Pueden añadirse símbolos sencillos, corazones, cruces, estrellas, círculos, siempre y cuando no entorpezcan la comunicación. Para añadir dificultad se puede variar la velocidad o el tamaño de los caracteres. Si se quiere borrar el mensaje, basta con frotar, lo que significará “se empieza de nuevo”.
6_ Una vez escrita la palabra o mensaje, el interlocutor frena y espera la respuesta de su contrario, que en su caso es repetir verbalmente lo escrito. En caso de no acertar, se puede repetir de nuevo. Más tarde, los jugadores se intercambian en rol.
7_ A su finalización ambos dispondrán de múltiples líneas y trazos, significantes de una comunicación íntima y silenciosa, sólo comprensible por los dos, no visibles al ojo.

ugh i love it but i'm finding myself drawing cuter and cuter looking things..we'll see if it fades out. Im working on a children's book competition thing so it has to last long enough to get that finished up.
I've got more time on my hands than usual, thank goodness. It's nice to just muck around and cut things in my unusually spacious days. Long may they last!
