Built in 1924, the Eagle Apartments on South Ervay has 24 efficiency apartments and a basement garage (unusual for its time). The original apartments had twin Murphy beds in the living room and came completely furnished – and that meant everything from furniture to bed linens and kitchen utensils! Love that red door.

Enjoyed the Texas Steak Cookoff in Hico today. Some of the best cooking/eating around. This guy is making peach cobbler in a dutch oven on the back of his chuckwagon, it was awesome! Had plenty of ribeye steak to eat today as well.
