I love this gum. And here in Australia they don't make gum in sticks like this anymore. They only make pellets....which I really detest.
I can buy this through a store called Sugar Fix that sells imported foods, mainly candy.
But while I was in Egypt I found some at the local supermarket.
So on my last day in town I bought a whole box.....20 packets. I am pretty sure the guy on the register thought I was nuts.
Double duty on this photo for the International (TBA) Week Group and Newcastle-Hunter Valley Group monthly comp - theme Green.

I love what the light is doing here, and it's less than half what it does at the best of times. This is just before sunset, and the light is coming in low against the fir trees. It's great here at Jeff's house, but when there's a layer of low clouds to the west of the Coast Range (we're between the Coast Range and the Cascades), something absolutely magical happens to the light: it turns into honey, sticking to everything with an amber sweetness that is almost palpable.
Those are Douglas firs in the center, with a large cottonwood tree to the left and Jeff's barn/shop in the lower right.

I snuck off to Barnes and Noble for some alone time today. It was the only place I could think of that would be open on a Sunday afternoon.
That's a green tea latte, by the way. Probably the best thing Starbucks sells. (Doesn't taste a thing like green tea, but I can deal.)
Yeah, I like my drinks to match my outfits. =p
It's International Green Stuff Week, and so I have gone green.
Since it is mosquito season in Houston, I'm getting all my green indoors. These are plants that Jamie brought home from the office; the plant people were tossing them like they do every couple months.
Jamie pointed out that there is a similar plant in the painting behind me.
This is my two hundred forty seventh self portrait for 365 Days.

Lit by floor lamp (at right) and uplight in the corner behind me. Coulda used the 430EX, but the emphasis should be on the green plants, not me.

Quick snapshot for IGSW.
See you in a week or two.
****Update**** Now in the 'Zoo (Kalamazoo) instead of Fort Myers until at least 3 Aug.
(Gotta love last-minute business trip changes!)
D-IGSW Cessna 340A c/n 340 0023 ex-N5090Q, PH-MYR. Still at Nairobi in poor condition in 1999. Scraqpped.
An earlier carrier of reg D-IGSW was a Beech 200 belonging to steel magnate Wiili Korf, that crashed on its way to Innsbrück on 21 November 1990, killing Korf and two others.

Little green furry thing belongs to Spandex Bullet! Thanks!
For International Green Stuff Week. I love that the sun is catching ONE of Kim's hairs and turning it burnished copper. I love that the sun is between the two pine trees. I love Jill's garden, and their front yard, and the end of the day.
A big Oregon maple tree, seed pods visible large, with the sunset hour's golden light filtering through the trees. The camera is pointed more or less straight up in this shot, with the sun behind my head and therefore coming in pretty much from the top of the photograph.
For the 365 days group, day 278 and for International Green Stuff Week, Wahoo!

Have I told you lovely "flickrites" how totally awesome my Tojosan is?
I was having a "yucky" day today. Low and behold I come into the house and there are these beautiful flowers waiting for me! He just bowls me over when he can sense I need a little something extra special.
What's more amazing to me, is that he didn't know what kind of day I was having.
Day 275 for the 365 group and for those who loved being surprised.

Assignment 2. The natural frame. One of the best techniques for adding interest to an image is to have your subject framed by something on the edge of the image. Everyone read that again. Your subject must be framed. I'll be heartbroken and harsh with critique if we get any pictures of a wonderful frame with no subject. tag with cwd112
