The last 3 days at work have been an exhausting emotional rollercoaster but at the end of the day against all odds we saved a life. Which we do daily but this was beyond brilliant. IGNITE SCORE this is why I do what I do!

Well, this is a great story. So I started taking a photo today and had the idea to burn my hand with cologne on it, I just couldn't get the flash to go off at the right moment... So after numerous attempts my moms boyfriend comes home and says "Oh use rubbing alcohol". So he drenches his entire hand in alcohol and lights his hand and literally half a second and his whole hand busted into flames, I started laughing sooooo hard (I'm a bad person) but I got this photo. Enjoy:)
With my recent trip west and the final days of the RoadRailer behind me, I came home from utterly burnt out of shooting anything. Great trips, great days of shooting, believe you me, but I was just so unbelievably tired. Felt like I was running nonstop for several weeks. A break was definitely in order.
Well, of course, Union Pacific found a way to get me out and about again. The Big Boy #4014 coming down the rail line that's within spitting distance of home is not something many often get to experience, so I'd be a fool to completely ignore such an event. I knew I wouldn't be pushing as hard as usual for a chase here - I just didn't have it in me for a lengthier run - but I definitely had to come out to get something, and I'm glad I did.
It's no secret that much of the ex-CE&I that UP now operates in east central Illinois isn't the most scenic or terribly interesting section of railroad out there. I rarely ever shoot it as a result, so I didn't have much of a plan. I did want a grain elevator shot though, so I searched around a bit and decided to make Bryce that shot. Turned out to be a nicer view than I thought, really!
After its service stop in Watseka, UP4014 got really moving for its last chunk of trip for the day. They came thundering by the Bryce elevator, and the small crowd that had been gathering there jumped to its feet - and grew in size as chasers and last minute stragglers alike piled in! Big Boy is really something special in the way that it draws crowds. That has its ups and downs, but the energy is certainly infectious. With the train blasting past, I definitely felt better about coming out that afternoon, and I knew that heading out the next day would be worth it, too.

Ignite wish to recreate his home on top of Revotain district. Rivalry on Hurmidik is another story.

My first attempt at match igniting close up. Unfortunately I only had one box of matches (not even full), so when I finally got the hang of it, I ran out of matches. Next time I'll stock plenty and do it better :)
The sun breaching the horizon isn’t always the highlight of a sunrise. You could look the other way and see something like this. Taken at Bore Beach near San Remo (Gippsland, Victoria), the light cloud cover gave a perfect canvas to ignite the sky with some warmth and colour. Mornings like this make the early start in the dark a-OK.
The Ignite the Dream Fireworks show at Shanghai Disneyland is a wonderful mix of fireworks and video projections onto the castle.
The music is also really wonderful, especially the exit music.

Doing 'a bit of a First' with just a card number board in the windscreen (rare for Citybus) working the 34A Milehouse P&R - Royal William Yard shuttle for the Illuminate light festival.
At least a number of these E400s have gained different all over ads, this one carried by 501 is for Ignite Futures a venture between the Plymouth Uni, Arts College and Plymouth City Council.
The sky ignited and burned fiercly as I walked along the water with my camera. This place is called Marina City by the way. Small aluminum box houses, connected to the land by concrete bridges. I wasn't impressed in terms of dwelling here, and neither were most people. More houses were planned but couldn't be sold, so they were never built.
My only problem is that I have a hundered photos from the location, and I don't know how to label them. For the most part, I'll just publish them individually with a more or less random title. I sometimes link photos together in a series, but it doesn't feel warranted in this case.
Shanghai Disneyland sparkles at night with the Ignite The Dream Fireworks and Castle show.
I shot this show from the balcony of the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel, then the next night from the boat dock for the park ferry. The 3rd night I decided to shoot it from inside the park and found a lovely railing on the edge of a pond that wasn't very crowded and let me get the castle and reflections in the frame. The show is much, much better from inside the park.
Ignite is an internship that trains young people in the area of ministry.
Our internship is opening its doors to allow prospects to come in and experience Ignite.
