The sky ignites over Middle River. Moved to include the out of focus tall grass to this pretty lighting and scene.

After attending Ignite’s glass blowing event, I managed to gain access to the rooftop and capture this scene. I’m not entirely sure about the composition, but the lighting was incredible. What do you think?

Ignite wish to recreate his home on top of Revotain district. Rivalry on Hurmidik is another story.

My first attempt at match igniting close up. Unfortunately I only had one box of matches (not even full), so when I finally got the hang of it, I ran out of matches. Next time I'll stock plenty and do it better :)
The sun breaching the horizon isn’t always the highlight of a sunrise. You could look the other way and see something like this. Taken at Bore Beach near San Remo (Gippsland, Victoria), the light cloud cover gave a perfect canvas to ignite the sky with some warmth and colour. Mornings like this make the early start in the dark a-OK.

Wings of Dust: The Cosmic Bat – LDN 43
Soaring silently across the Opiuchus constellation, LDN 43 stretches its cosmic wings against a canvas of starlight. This dark nebula is composed of thick interstellar dust that obscures the background stars, creating the silhouette of what resembles a celestial bat in flight.
But this bat isn’t just made of shadow - within its dark folds, new stars are being born. LDN 43 is part of a complex region of star formation, where gravity pulls dense dust clouds together until nuclear fusion ignites. The surrounding golden and blue hues come from background stars peeking through less-dense patches of dust, subtly illuminating the edges of this celestial phantom.

The sky ignited and burned fiercly as I walked along the water with my camera. This place is called Marina City by the way. Small aluminum box houses, connected to the land by concrete bridges. I wasn't impressed in terms of dwelling here, and neither were most people. More houses were planned but couldn't be sold, so they were never built.
My only problem is that I have a hundered photos from the location, and I don't know how to label them. For the most part, I'll just publish them individually with a more or less random title. I sometimes link photos together in a series, but it doesn't feel warranted in this case.

Shanghai Disneyland sparkles at night with the Ignite The Dream Fireworks and Castle show.
I shot this show from the balcony of the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel, then the next night from the boat dock for the park ferry. The 3rd night I decided to shoot it from inside the park and found a lovely railing on the edge of a pond that wasn't very crowded and let me get the castle and reflections in the frame. The show is much, much better from inside the park.

Well, it's not much, but I have been able to retrieve a couple hundred photos from my dead hard drive; just a drop in the bucket, really, but hopefully I can save a few more, and they are ones I am really proud of!
Hoping the pros can do a better job of it next week!
Anyways, this shot was taken last Wednesday night at the lovely Glenmore Reservoir; Beefy and I stood in the warm, shallow waters along the shoreline for almost an hour and took in (and documented!) the amazing sunset that was taking place!
