Después de editarla dos veces desde cero, esto es lo que ha salido. Un foto complicada de editar. Al menos para mi que es mi talón de Aquiles. Además una foto de larga distancia que me ha hecho salir de mi zona de confort. De esas para ver en pantalla grande

Sin duda una de las mejores vistas de Euskadi cuando se dan las condiciones ideales. El madrugón del domingo a las 4:30 mereció la pena, aunque aún lo sigo arrastrando. Seguro que volveré muchas veces

Quantum physics says a thing in the universe only gets real by looking at it. By taking the measurement. So, if no one would be out there looking at it - taking the photograph - the scene would not exist. Accordingly, this means the scene only exists, because someone was looking at it.

Jotunheimen Nasjonalpark

Part of my 'Duffus Castle through the seasons' project.

The castle is situated on the Laich of Moray, a fertile plain that was once the swampy foreshore of Spynie Loch. This was originally a more defensive position than it appears today, long after the loch was drained.

The motte is a huge man-made mound, with steep sides and a wide ditch separating it from the bailey. The whole site is enclosed by a water-filled ditch, which is more a mark of its boundary than it is a serious defensive measure.

Duffus Castle was built by a Flemish man named Freskin, who came to Scotland in the first half of the 1100s. After an uprising by the ‘men of Moray’ against David I in 1130, the king sent Freskin north as a representative of royal authority.

He was given the estate of Duffus, and here he built an earthwork-and-timber castle. Freskin’s son William adopted the title of ‘de Moravia’ – of Moray. By 1200, the family had become the most influential noble family in northern Scotland, giving rise to the earls of Sutherland and Clan Murray.

In about 1270, the castle passed to Sir Reginald Cheyne the Elder, Lord of Inverugie. He probably built the square stone keep on top of the motte, and the curtain wall encircling the bailey. In 1305, the invading King Edward I of England gave him a grant of 200 oaks from the royal forests of Darnaway and Longmorn, which were probably used for the castle’s floors and roofs.

Después de una semana santa de muchas muchas fotos en muy buena compañía, se me ocurrió ir en solitario a visitar a esta preciosidad. Había pasado por allí alguna vez que otra en este tiempo, pero a hacer fotos por lo menos desde hacía un par de años que no iba. Siempre se encuentra un rincón, unas hojas, un recorrido… que antes se habían pasado por alto.

Una buena mañana de un buen domingo de esta buena primavera decidimos @juanmanuelfernandezlopez_ y yo ir en busca de lugares “poco transitados” sin saber muy bien lo que nos íbamos a encontrar. Entre sube esa ladera, baja al río encañonado, remonta, badea…, pudimos entretenernos algún rato sacando alguna que otra foto. Un poco de scouting en búsqueda de lugares interesantes. Lo mejor de la mañana, la compañía. Y como premio, los bocatas y un buen café al lado de alguna cascada ☕️

Its taken me weeks of visiting this spot for the conditions to be what i wanted. Coupled with a few times when i just couldn't get out of bed - i know lazy! Got there this morning and it was perfect.

After some rain, the sky cleared and presented us with this beautiful sunset.

A cloudy day cleared out one hour before this shot

The original plan was to get the sun rising right behind those impressive group of power poles. Due to struggeling with a fogged up lens, I finally came up with this pre-sunrise shot, which shows a moody scene with some nice details in the foreground.

Siempre había querido tener una foto de este lugar y qué mejor que aprovechar las copiosas lluvias de esta primavera para animarnos @canaways y yo a visitarla. Curiosa cascada esta rodeada de rocas y árboles que dificultan encontrar un vista más limpia de la misma.

Norwegian Landscape

No clouds, just a blue sky which frequency changed to between 645 and 740 nanometers spectrum, to suffuse the water with a carmine hue

Finally, spring has arrived. This is a quick shot of some wild rose bush. But I am not too sure about it. Maybe someone knows more about it?

The Glen Massan on Loch Carron

The morning had barely begun when the sky decided to put on a show.

Dramatic clouds rose above the still waters of Lake Krickenbeck, and for a moment, the world stood still. The silence was broken only by birdsong and the distant ripple of reeds in the wind.

This is one of those scenes where light, form, and feeling align. A quiet moment from a recent photohike in western Germany – captured with care and a sense of presence.

Last light. North Berwick ... I have no brushes to paint colour in my life....

Trapped with nowhere to go, so many lives changing beyond their control,

Etching this deep pain in the bottom of one’s soul.

While the string pullers crack their whips,

and in doing so control the ebb and flow…

Could we somehow escape; eventually make our way out,

Us the conditioned, concerned, worried, those filled with doubt.

Most not able to express the way they even feel,

let alone see their loved ones for a hug or share a meal.

Tears not visible, silent screams that no one can hear.

They try to speak but there’s nobody to hear….

Emotional pain, grips during the day and through into night,

Leaving many depleted with no strength to fight.

It’s for our own good our masters chant every single day as our minds get darker just like just like the midnight tide as it slowly slips quietly away ….

…."Give me back my brushes"...I desperately say.....
