Das zentrale Element des IG Metall Hauses in Berlin ist das lichtdurchflutete Treppenhaus, das alle Etagen miteinander verbindet. Eine großzügige Wendeltreppe mit einem Durchmesser von fast 5 Metern ist Ort der Bewegung und der Kommunikation gleichermaßen. Alle Metallteile wurden in Messing ausgeführt und die mitlaufenden Geländerstäbe betonen die runde Formgebung der Treppe. Das Treppenhaus kann nur von unten besichtigt und fotografiert werden, ein Hinaufsteigen wird nicht gestattet. Das Haus der IG Metall ist seit 1971 denkmalgeschützt.

The central element of the IG Metall building in Berlin is the light-flooded staircase that connects all floors. A generous spiral staircase with a diameter of almost 5 metres is a place of movement and communication in equal measure. All metal parts are made of brass and the balustrades emphasize the round shape of the staircase. The staircase can only be viewed and photographed from below, unfortunately climbing up is not permitted. The IG Metall building has been a listed building since 1971.
Die Zeit vergeht so schnell!
Einst fuhren die Einheitslokomotiven noch bei der Bundesbahn durch alle Lande und bespannten vom Nahgüterzug über den klassischen Eilzug die Rheingold-/ und/oder Intercityzüge.
Inzwischen ist der Einheitslok-Klassiker bei der DB im aktiven Dienst ausgemustert und begrenzt sich auf Einsätze vom DB Museum.
Selbiges hatte für die Sommersaison 2024 ihre 140 128 und 141 001 in den Schwarzwaldurlaub geschickt, wo die Klassiker an Sonn- und Feiertagen zwischen Seebrugg und Titisee mit dem Wagenmaterial der IG 3-Seenbahn e.V. pendelten.
Am 19.09.2024 war der Urlaub dann vorbei und die Heimreise nach Koblenz ins Museum wurde natürlich - voll auf Schiene - mit der Bahn vollzogen!
Ich konnte das Pärchen auf dem Bietigheimer Enzviadukt in den wenigen Sekunden ihres Querens über der Enz erblicken.

Ülkemizde Trakya, Karadeniz, İç Anadolu'nun bir kısmı ve Akdeniz Bölgesi'nde görülür. Çiçeklerini Nisan-Haziran aylarında açar.
Standing dead trees skeletonized by the 2015 Reynold’s Creek Fire in East Glacier National Park provide bright contrast to the moody September skies.
I found this tussock moth caterpillar dangling from an invisible thread, swinging in the wind, curling and contorting. I had to use manual focus because it was too small in the frame for the camera’s sensors to find it with any consistency. Like photographing flying, diving puffins from a small rocking boat, I giggled as I lost and found the caterpillar passing by my lens, quickly focusing and following. There were a lot of images that went into the trash. And then there was this gem. Those feet are like little grabby booties!

Hi everyone!
Soo...I know I haven't updated in almost 6 months D: Ahh, so bad! :(
School, my internship, and fraternity rush/pledge season are very time consuming.
But I haven't neglected photography! I've been having photoshoots with people from my school/area, so I haven't completely neglected my camera!
I think the fact that I have been doing a lot of photoshoots will hopefully bring me back to Flickr once school ends in May :)
Right now I have been using Instagram quite frequently. Of course, the quality is definitely not as good as my DSLR, but for now, it's an easy way for me to stay updated/connected with all of my beloved Flickr friends who I have neglected for so long D:
