Winter at the so-called "Irreler waterfalls", which are really only a few rapids.
Winter an den sogenannten "Irreler Wasserfällen", die eigentlich nur ein paar Stromschnellen sind.

Sunset last night..a faint sun pillar..best wishes for all those snowed in folks on the east coast ..so glad the snow moved south of us.
I had two pictures from this stop that I really liked, posted the other one a month ago. I could never decide which one I liked best, so gonna post them both. I think they're different enough.
Here's a link to the other if you want to compare.
October 7th description;
On my way home for the weekend after a hectic retreat from Los Angeles. Pulled over near Paragonah Utah to take pictures of these irrigation sprinklers back-lit from the midmorning sun. Temperatures a little below freezing, creating icicles and ice covered plants.
We haven't had any real winter weather yet, so I was happy to see the ice on the groynes at Fifty Point Conservation Area.
While suffering from Monday blues, this icy blue composition with glacial reflection included serves as a pick-up.
The marsh at Lake St Clair Metropark remains frozen today, but warmer days will come soon.
Red-winged Blackbirds are present, but not singing in the marsh yet.

Sunset on Mullet Pond in Huntington Beach, South Carolina. This is a day after a rare ice storm, quite a rare event this far south.
Eroded glacier remnant on a beach, south Iceland, the winds were blowing painful sand grains on my face, in my pockets, shoes, ears, I lasted barely 10 minutes before retreating to the car, which is a shame because it's a great spot for photography, unfortunately such conditions are rather common.
Why, why, why, is flickr still so damn glacially slow. Being away almost 3 weeks didn't seem to change much.
