Special thanks to my boy Mark Sandlin for the modern Ice Planet graphic
Next loved childhood theme for the contest at RogueBricks.de. Ice Planet 2002 was my absolutely favorite as a child. I had all stets and played endless hours with it. For now, I made a remake of set 6834 celestial sled. Due to the fact that the original is very spartan, so I tried to make a bit more of it. But also, I wanted to stay close to the original. So, I also kept that play feature. I hope you like it.
The newest Ice-Sat model has just been rolled out. The Ice-Sat B rolls effortlessly around in this frozen landscape. It is fully equipped for satellite launching and transportation.
20th build in my Iron Builder round against Chris Maddison, using the Tile, modified 2x3 Pentagonal
PS: the original idea behind the ice penguins comes from Chris Perron, who btw is the super master of Ice planet rovers.
The Frost Blade Sentry was used to patrol the areas in which Commander Cold and his force was conducting top secret cold fusion research.
Each Frost Blade included 3 mission-specific droids deployable from the underside of the craft.
This one's not that great, but a rover is a rover.
I was looking at the treadbike arrangement of my Blacktron treadbike and those trans neon orange wheel hubs and got the idea to make an Ice Planet treadbike rover. Except this one has skis at the rear instead of another wheel.
Ice Planet 2002 is such a cool theme! I designed these mini versions of the sets months ago for a building competition, but unfortunately I didn’t have all the parts to build them. Months later, Elemental LEGO, posted a mini version of the Deep Freeze Defender including a bit of environment of the frozen planet. I thought that’s a brilliant idea! I got enthusiastic again and decided to make this diorama. The sets are:
Group shot!
The end of october 2020 is nearing and so we leave these guys with a teamup shot to conclude Simon's #mechtober
The start of a new wave of Raptors, as there's still lots to explore, so stay tuned for more!

After the Black Tron MOC`s with Disco86 it`s time to build the next Classic Space theme from my childhood.
Sorry for this very bad photo Quality but it`s winter, dark an my good camera for bigger MOC`s is broken :/
An Ice Planet exploration mech based off the concept art from this page.
Took me about 18 hours to render this monster. :D

Ice Planet 2002 was one of my favorite childhood themes, so time to build something. Just something small, but that won't be my last ice planet built. This little hawk based on agile hawk by tokyo tag team.
I already got back to ice planet with a little ice hawk in 2017. Now it is FebRovery and it is time to go back to this awesome theme. I wanted to stay close to the original, so only scientist with rockets and satellites, no weapons! I hope you enjoy it. ☺
I got my hands on the excellent Cold Assault Series minifig from @custombrickbuilder and decided there couldn’t be a more appropriate color scheme than the Ice Planet 2002 LEGO scheme. Ice planet was one of my childhood favorites and I really love the way this turned out. It slightly looks like a Ahsoka 501st trooper too, that wasn’t intentional.

Vic Vipers from the early 1990s space themes square off in the arena, zooming down the raceway at breakneck speeds on the outskirts of the space station.
In this heat, M-Tron seems to be in the lead, while Blacktron II attempts to elude Space Police II. Poor ol' Ice Planet 2002 cools off in the rear.
__________
I wanted to build a Vic Viper, but did not have the time and energy to build a minifig scale one, so I made 12 microscale ones instead. Don't miss heat 1 and stay tuned for heat 3!
Finally got everyone built and photographed; an Exo-Suit for each classic space theme. Make sure everyone gets in the the shot.

If you are going to step onto a frozen wasteland of a planet, you need a customized Exo-Suit. Based on the Mk 2 Exo-Suit, the I.C.E. team added on-board tools, satellite up-link, modified clamp feet, and some tools that are sized right for the job. It also has a covered canopy and an extended battery to deal with the weather extremes.
In the year 2002, astronaut explorers landed on the Ice Plant to see if habitation was possible. They are the Ice Planet Pioneers.
A crew of pioneers make a settlement on the Ice Planet. After landing their home base and garage, they built a helipad and set up communication stations. They launch rockets with satellites around the planet.
Outside Temperature: 179K (-94.15°C / -137.47°F)
Personal Equipment used:
Thermal Field Scanner
Vehicles used:
IcePlanet branded 6833 Beacon Tracer
(Tested the new light emitting materials.)
I have four more in mind that I hope to build before Star Wars Days this weekend, but I definitely wanted to start with these two.
Ice Planet 2002- Ice Station Ody-"PC"
Is it Ice Planet 2002? Is it a computer?
It's both!
Brickworld 2025's theme was "Braving the Elements", so here is my AIR cooled ICE PLANET pc with a little FIRE and hot WATER thrown in to get as many elements as possible.
It is my latest attempt to merge my two hobbies- LEGO MOCs and custom-built PCs into one build! The PC components are mounted using LEGO elements, meaning there is no metal frame or screws involved anywhere in this build. The open frame PC "case" can be lifted from the MOC (after discounting the USB powered black light in the main control tower and the probe launch tower to the right of the CPU cooling fan) by the built in technic handle. Though who would want to lose the sweet MOC its built into? Check out some of my older posts to see the LL HoRyzen for a PC built into an orange spaceship!
PC Specs:
Ryzen 5600X3D
Gigabyte AORUS Pro AX B550I
32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro
Sapphire Pure Radeon 7800 XT
750-Watt Silver Stone ITX PSU
Yes, it can play Crysis :D
The Ice Planet MOC features all the classic Ice Planet hallmarks- a probe launch point and magnetic crane, neon orange accents and snowshoes, and a little spacecraft, modeled after a classic space fighter I previously built, but this time in Ice Planet trimmings. This built uses far less black than LEGO Ice Planet builds did- I substituted some dark blue into the doors instead, but kept the black on the probe. Some fun little LEGO stories going on as well with the Ice Planeteers bathing in the hot tube, the commander carving an ice sculpture, and the penguins roasting s'mores!
