On to the hills
This country lane runs past our house and up to the farm houses at the foot of the hill.
The hills were part of a stone quarry in the past.
Some of it has been transformed into mountain bike tracks, and pump tracks etc. It’s very popular.
It’s called Lee quarry.
I’ve been up on my mountain bike a few times, though it’s a hard scape. I prefer forests for mountain biking in.

Down the players tunnel at Turf Moor
Burnley FC.
The Burnley players come down these steps onto the hallowed turf to massive rapturous applause and cheering at the beginning of each game.
This always makes the hair on my arms and neck stand up. I love to see the Claret & Blue.

At Beadnell beach
After spending a few hours having a look around Bamburgh castle we took our little fur baby, Patches, down on the beach for a walk.
It’s a beautiful sandy beach at Beadnell, as you can see.
People were flying kites, sailing on wind propelled surf boards, and generally enjoying themselves.

What could be better?
Tracey and me and Patches took a nice walk along the nature trail at Ribby hall. It’s not far, just a couple of miles. But lots of it is on a path through beautiful woodland. This photo is just at the start before enter the woodland.

On a Friday evening in June
Me and my wife took our border collie, Patches, over to Towneley park at Burnley, for an evening stroll.
On the way there was this beautiful sunset, we just had to stop and have a good look at it.
I just had to take this photo.
Here’s a quote from my favourite poet…

Central Library is the main branch of the Austin Public Library system, which includes 20 branches, the Austin History Center, and a recycled bookstore. Often referred to as Austin's "Library of the Future," Central Library opened in late 2017. The six-story, 200,000 sq. ft. building is designed to hold over 600,000 books and offers a living rooftop garden, reading porches, an indoor reading room and a bicycle corral, large indoor and outdoor event spaces, a gift shop, an art gallery and a cafe. There is even a "Technology Petting Zoo," where visitors can toy with some of the latest gadgets.
In 2018 Austin's Central Library was selected for TIME Magazine's 2018 list of World's Greatest Places! Culled from over 1,200 editor and expert nominations from around the world, the list highlights 100 destinations that are breaking new ground, leading industry trends and offering visitors an extraordinary experience.
The library and bridge are at the center of the larger Seaholm District Project which has transformed a formerly industrial section of southwest downtown Austin into a vibrant urban neighborhood.

My wife looked up from reading and commented on the beautiful sunset through the trees as she looked through the window.
We both then went out onto the deck and admired the lovely sky.

I’ve been in Ye Olde boot & shoe many times, including last Saturday; but I’ve never been in the Jolly Sailor.
The pubs are known locally as ‘The Boot’ and ‘The Jolly’.

Well, after spending a solid week cleaning out my digital attic—the desktop file, the countless forgotten downloads, and the mysterious "miscellaneous tasks" that seem to multiply on their own—I was finally ready for the big leap. Or, as Microsoft so cheerily puts it, an "upgrade" to Windows 11.
Now, those of us who have braved these updates before know what this really means. It's less of an upgrade and more of a digital baptism by fire. You know, where your favorite programs suddenly decide they've never met you before, and your printer becomes a surly paperweight that refuses to acknowledge its sole purpose in life.
So, this morning, I faced a monumental decision: Do I risk it all for the shiny new operating system, or do I escape to the coast and pretend my computer problems don't exist?
As you can see from the photo, the call of the ocean (and the fear of my printer's revenge) won the day. Windows 11 can wait. The waves, on the other hand, were not going to update themselves.

Istiqlal Mosque, located in Jakarta, Indonesia, stands as the largest mosque in Southeast Asia and the ninth largest worldwide in terms of its capacity for worshippers.
Its name, "Istiqlal," is Arabic for "independence," reflecting its construction as a commemoration of Indonesian independence. This national mosque of Indonesia officially opened its doors to the public on February 22, 1978.
Notably, within Jakarta, the mosque occupies a significant location adjacent to Merdeka Square, the Catholic Jakarta Cathedral, and the Reformed Immanuel Church, symbolizing a degree of interfaith harmony.
